There’s a lot to like about The Thistle. Beer craft. Food. Ambiance. Close to the Stadium. Close to the Railway Station. If you’re down this end of town or heading to a concert or game I’d recommend it.
Excellent service, nice ambience, beer very good. Food was good if not up to the standard of my previous visit. Will definitely go again when next in Wellington.
Loveingly restored pub with lots of character. We used the upstairs space with was perfect for a large function with room to spread, converse and dance. Staff very helpful and friendly

Gorgeous old building! Lots of old world ambience. Really tasty food with generous portions. Their cheese dessert platter is massive! Two of us could only eat half of it.
It looks old, it is old with recorded history for you to see. We were with a tour group so maybe you would not have staff give details as easily that we got them. It's a pub with a bit more. Pleased to have gone but would not seek it out as not a pub person. Pleasant staff.
The staff are always next level friendly, helpful and welcoming. It was a very nice touch to be offered a taster of a wine when undecided and even when they're really busy they still have a smile and don't let their level of customer service falter
Really cool bar...great gin collection!!! Really nice staff. Look forward to spending more time there when we move to Wellington shortly :
