The Thirsty Pig Picton is a place to relax and catch up with friends while having a beer or two.

Story

The Thirsty Pig is becoming an Iconic Kiwi Bar & Restaurant with an Irish feel being the only place pouring the BEST Guinness in Picton!!
We have a wide range of local NZ beers, Macs Cider on tap & of course some great Marlborough wines available.
We have great hearty meals ranging from the traditional fish & chips thru to our meaty Guinness Stew. We have a wide range of seafood including Chowder, Salmon, Marlborough Mussels & Tasty NZ Whitebait.
The Thirsty Pig offers different specials like the All Day Sunday Roast at $15 and Wednesday grab a burger & steak fries for only $12.

We have by prior arrangement a Courtesy Van and we have free customer wifi.

Had a fabulous meal there & several drinks with a good range to choose from. Very friendly staff & also met some very friendly locals who were only too happy to chat & make a couple of travellers feel welcome.
Awesome people ! Friendly service with a smile ! Lamb was amazing well cooked and complimented the gravy really well ! Thanks Louise and Leanne you guys are fantastic ! Will definitely come back for dinner next when I’m in picton !
Oh it was yummy. I got a summer salad with crumbed chicken breast. It was very tasty. Lovely dressing, pumpkin seeds and it was just so fresh. I was after something light so this hit the spot. My mate however ordered the steak. It looked awesome!! Good hunk of meat. Stole a couple of his chips.. had to steal a few more Great food. Real locals pub
White bait fritters and beer a good combination
Quick stop for a beer. Parking isnt too bad as long as its not in peak. Motorbikes best to reverse in to angled parking.
Kiwi-as, lots of great locals came up and chatted, honest pub-food with seafood you can’t find in the North Island like orange roughy done several ways.... great spot for an old-school kiwi experience. Awesome food!!! And beer is cheap too. Local musician doing 80s kiwiana.
We had an enjoyable meal and drinks. Great service. Recommend the fish and chips. Do enjoy!
Love coming to this pub. Food is great, service is excellent. My two toddlers love their kids meal.
We just wanted a nice pub meal and that's what we got. They were short staffed when we were there and incredibly busy, but we weren't left waiting long for our food.
Great place to relax for a while. Good food. Friendly staff and hard case locals
