Today we had the pleasure of going to The Thai Restaurant. Overall, the store had attentive staff, and great customer service. We ordered the duck red curry, sweet and sour snapper, som tom, curry puff, chicken satay and Tom yum. The duck red curry came with a blast of flavour. It had a fragrant aroma, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The sweet and sour snapper was deep fried, and had a crispy surface, with a soft flesh. The curry puff had a deep fried, crunchy dough which was pleasing to bite into. The filling was good, overall a good entree. The Som Tom had a small variety of ingredients. There was no papaya in this dish and all carrots which made it really a carrot salad. Lots of boiled prawns too The chicken satay was not bad, there was a plentiful amount of sauce, and the chicken was soft and flavourful. The Tom Yum seafood is pretty good with lots of seafood in it
Food was excellent. Location was great....on a main walking street. Very clean, well appointed and tastefully decorated. Server seemed unfamiliar with any of the dishes we asked about and could only comment what she rhought was popular. Maybe unfair criticism because she was new or suffers from dietary restrictions, but she could have asked someone.
After a long drive from Auckland, we grabbed a prawn curry and Lamb Jungle Curry. The latter was advertised as without coconut milk and very traditional so I thought that I'd give it a try. The broth is more clear and what I would associate with a soup. It was still tasty but a bit of a surprise. The prawn curry had many large prawns and was a thicker curry. Service was attentative and the restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated.

This is the first time for us here but my partner loves your lamp Shrek Massamun so much. He could stop saying he loved it on the way back home. I ordered Basil crispy pork stir-fried but my one was a bit salty but again I ate it all. The service is very nice. They always smiled even though they were so busy. If we go back to Rotarua. We definitely will go back to this place again at 10/10.
Went for dinner , friendly staff, food was great as requested. Being a vegetarian, i found good options in starters as well as main meal.. recommend to my few friends who is going next week to rotorua… amazing people with amazing meal .. egg-ceptional experience Vegetarian options: Tofu
We went for dinner on saturday night 6th of APR . the entree was so good we had oysters and satay chicken, and chicken wings. For the main we had Red currie, Prawn Dish and I had Marinade barbecued beef and asked for it to be medium. It came out well done so I asked for a new dish . later that night I could feel that something was not wright. In the morning I had Diarrhoea and have had for the last 5 days . I have been to the doctor and they are going to report it to the health department . I would like to say that my wife and I go there at least once a week and would spend over $100. They will not be getting my business anymore
A local recommended us this place as we were craving for Asian food. Wasn’t disappointed and the portions were big! The food could be spicier we ordered medium spicy and seafood such as mussels could be fresher, so might be a better choice to go with prawn Tom yum instead. Would recommend if you’re passing by this town YumFood: 4/5

Restaurant was about to close when we entered. The staff went out of their way and gave us several choices of vegetarian food including Tom Kha soup and green curry. Both were quite good. Waiters are generally keen on getting us out at closing time, instead they made us very comfortable and asked us if we wanted desserts. We also took the banana split for dessert. I would skip this and try the more traditional Thai desserts instead. Vegetarian options: Vegetarians will feel very comfortable in this restaurant. Several dishes which can be customized.
