Absolutely loved our experience at Hey Bro, Otorohanga. The new owner has made a tremendous impression.nnKai was 10/10, the atmosphere was 10/10, and the customer service was easily 10/10 as well nnThe new owner deserves huge credit for upgrading the space and creating such a warm, welcoming atmosphere for families and guests to enjoy.nTonight the customer service and table service were exceptional from start to finish.nnWe had a fantastic night out with the family and felt truly welcomed and looked after.nnHighly recommend— we’ll definitely be back.
The last two owners have been awesome. The food is delicious and the manakitangahospitality was great. While waiting they brought over some snacks for my 7year old to snack on for free. Service plates were heated so when I put my curry on it kept it warm. They checked on us to make sure we had what we needed. For a small town this is great service.
Hey bro resto-bar, a new hotspot for Indian cuisine in Otorohanga. I had dinner with my family there last night and it was fantastic! The ambience and service was spot on. They have a vast selection of entrees, veg and non-veg options. Neat dining sets and a clear approach to cleanliness. We had a samosa as a starter. Also, they served us hot entree plates. Which, it is the only restaurant in Otorohanga that serves hot plates for entrees and main plates.nI was very impressed. Samosa’s very very light and crisp. Our server was very polite, he tended to our table with utmost care. We ordered 2 buttered chickens, a veg curry serve with buttery basmati rice and naans. The curries were very nice, buttered chicken is spot on and my veg curry was just the right hotness for me to enjoy.nThe Naan breads were hot and fluffy, great pair for the curry.nOver all we had a great experience.nHighly recommended if you’re craving for a delicious spice treat.
Worst dal makhani I’ve ever had. It was basically just gravy with almost no dal in it—you could barely find a single lentil, as you can see in the picture.nnThe aloo gobi was undercooked, completely bland, and had no flavor at all. The roti was very chewy and hard to eat.nnI also ordered the chicken biryani, it tasted good, but I found a big rock in it just after I had my first bite which could have been dangerous.nnWe used to visit this town almost every week, but this was our first time ordering Indian food here. Unfortunately, it turned out to be our worst experience. Very disappointing.
