hi. the Sustainable Gardener (TSG) specialise's in following mother nature. My M.O. is based on mulching the lawns, composting the greenwaste, adding mulch to stop weeds & establishing plants that are tolerant of the region.
About:
Hi. I currently look after a number of properties with work ranging from lawn-mowing to garden care and all done with sustainability principles in mind.
Services offered:
composting, trimming & shaping, nutrient feeds, lawn-mowing, mulching, waste minimisation.
an area of particular interest to me is hedge trimming and i will look to target this market more over the coming months. i have also just completed building a chicken run, which was challenging as it was on a sloping site and i had to navigate in and around existing fruit trees and boundaries. still it was fun to do.
Areas serviced:
Palmerston north, to Paraparaumu on a fortnightly basis with most of my regular work in the Horowhenua.
Availability:
Best to ring me between 7pm & 8pm or leave a message on the mobile as I leave it in the van when I am working at a property owners place; or email me!
Whether it is weekly visits to maintain your gardens or lawnmowing or perhaps some one-off work to prepare a property for sale or rent, or even a restoration of a garden; I (and my dog) will be keen to meet with you.
Water-blasting, cleaning gutters, cutting up firewood, mulching and some light tree work are some of the other things I currently do.
I believe that if we look after the soil then the plants will grow well.
I do try to adopt a collective approach to the 40+ properties currently in my portfolio and where possable I encourage the sharing of good stuff amongst property owners. On one occassion an old pool decking from one property was cut up to become a rustic bridge at someone else's home
CHARGE OUT RATES ARE ABOUT$35/hr but can change dependant on early payments, frequency of visits and the work involved
I do have public liability - untouched to date :)

Hope to hear from you soon.
