We needed a coffee that was dog friendly, as we were travelling back to Dunedin with our pup. The staff here were amazing! It was a bit cold, but we were able to sit in the gorgeous stable area with our dog, and the long black and chocolate fudge cake were the best I’ve had in ages!! They provided a bowl of water for our pup. Absolutely wonderful! One of the highlights of our trip!

The Stable Kitchen is a nice little cafe with good food and friendly staff. There's a good range of cabinet food on offer and a nice menu. A great spot to stop for a bite to eat when you're on the road or visiting Gore.
Stopped for morning tea on a rainy day and found this jewel of a restaurant. We ordered a chicken and apricot panini, a southern toastie, a cheese roll, a slice of lollie cake, a ginger crunch, and 2 hot chocolates with marshmallows and a chocolate fish. Everything was amazing! Atmosphere was warm and cozy. Staff was friendly, informative and efficient. Bathrooms were clean, also. We highly recommend this restaurant!
This is a great cafe in Gore. My family and myself travelled to Gore and we went and had lunch there. We had the following delicious meals, Sausage Roll, Breakfast Roll, Loaded Wedges, Toasted Ham, Cheese and Pineapple Sandwich, Chicken and Mushroom Filo Roll w/ broccoli salad on side, BBQ Beef Burger and Fries, and 4 large Mochas. This cafe is very reasonably priced.
