The food was delicious, but by far the best thing was the service. You can tell the staff deeply love working here, it felt like a safe comforting space and we were made to feel as if we were at home the moment we walked through the door. My dietary requirements were met with ease and understanding. And may I say again the food was so delicious! We inhaled everything! Thank you so much for having us
Next time I am in NZ, I am coming back here. Hands down the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time AU and NZ included The host was charming and knows how to value his customers. Keep up the good work.
Excellent food. I regularly eat and cook curry and really enjoyed the flavours of every dish we ordered. I am dairy intolerant and had the tarka dhal which was one of the tastiest I’ve ever eaten!
Amazing food and experience at the Spice Room, despite a very busy night for them. Food and service were top notch and the owner is a terrific host. Lovely family-run operation. We’ll be back the first chance we get.
Super cozy place that have THE BEST VENISON CURRY EVER! if you're in town and want to get something a little on the spicy side, I think this is the place for you. Butter chicken for starters, but I highly recommend their venison curry. You can totally taste how fresh the meat is, and how good of a combination was that venison and the curry. It's like it was alive in my mouth. Anyways, very very delicious!
The best curry we have ever had, very generous portions, chicken and lamb sooo tender and fresh. Fluffy rice, excellent naan bread . If we were staying here another night , we would eat there again. Very popular place too, so make sure to book a table in advance .
We went there starving, really great Indian food, ambience and friendly staffs making sure we were having good time. Highly recommended in beautiful place Wanaka.
Delicious food in generous portions and a cozy atmosphere. Very friendly service as well. Good place to go if you’re craving Indian food & want a fancy or casual night out. Of course, many vegetarian & vegan options. Wish there were a few more vegan options.
An absolutely terrible meal , we had takeaways for 4 people and every meal was absolutely sub par . I have eaten lots of good curries in my time and this did not stack up or even come close .The curries were like stew , the Naan Bread under cooked and the roti yesterdays and stale . Certainly would not be recommending this place . Vegetarian options: As bad as the non vege options!
