We came in late 2 minutes before the kitchen but they were still able to service wonderful hearty meals with generous portion. The customer service was top notch! Well done to the ladies at the bar. The pub was clean, spacious and original.Food: 5/5

Not a bad pub though it was weird to only able to book a table between 6-7:30pm. Service on a slower end. Food was decent though the pork ribs were over cooked. Mud cake was delicious!
We booked a small gathering in the bar. They cannot reserve tables for you in this area, however we made sure we turned up early to secure these. We re-ordered some of their platters and they were amazing! The service from the staff was really friendly and they would come around the tables and ask people if they wanted more drinks. We will definitely come back for any future functions.
Very welcoming staff. Lunch time go to in Palmy for their exceptionally good Fish & chips Blue Cod. The bar meal of F&C with side salad is well priced and sufficient size for lunch. Add on a small Speights Old Dark and it’s phenomenal. Consistently well presented and well cooked. Would recommend in a heart beat.
I would be very very careful dining in this establishment. They have different price in their system and don't necessarily update the menu. I was told because the price has been put up, I had to pay at that price despite the lower price on the menu. Service is mediocre at best. You have a couple of amazing server but the rest really need to be retrained. I put feedback to the store and never heard back so they obviously don't care either.
The fresh bread was yum, but the butter had no garlic in it and tasted stale. Steak had been stewing so was tough and it was waiting for my meal which was running late. My Cherry Chicken was nice. Service was not very impressive. Ashame as had some yummy meals there and had excellent service.Food: 2/5
Had the small ribs last night for dinner. Small = 2 portions, large = 3 portions of ribs. The ribs were very nice with plenty of meat and the sauce was really really good. I opted for chips instead of wedges and the chips were really good. The salad was pretty average. A lettuce leaf with a bit of grated carrot and a small sliver of purple onion. Unless they change the salad I would give it a miss. There was no flavor.
Had a day after wedding gathering here on a Sunday. Platters were great value. Staff were friendly. Nice spacious facility so great if you had kids and pushchairs. Has plenty of parking right outside.Food: 5/5
We were a party of four, three of whom had lamb shanks and one had lamb rack - and they all found them very enjoyable. Nice beer, relaxed atmosphere, lovely staff. Highly recommendable.
