The Southland sports bar is open 7 days a week with bar meals available the moment the doors open, a big screen TV for all your live sporting needs, a sheltered courtyard with open fire and live musical entertainment most weekends.

Story

The menu features some wonderful Southland dishes including Seafood Chowder and succulent Blue Cod. In addition to which we have the Thar & Feather famous smokehouse meals including red beech smoked BBQ ribs and chicken; and if you can’t decide, why not have a combination of both?

So happy with our awesome dinner tonight. Last minute booking for a table of 12, Head of staff went above and beyond to cater to our night and we are grateful. Especially grateful to the amazing trainee waitress your gonna go far girl Thank you so much team.

Could not fault our night there as a group of 10, we had drinks and bar meals as we wanted a relax night together. Staff were good and we could not fault the meals we received. We had an enjoyable night.
My main was off the chain Excellent meals worth the price dessert was abit yeah and nah but 100% would recommend this place
They were super busy but took our booking last minute and delivered EXCEPTIONAL meals. They accommodated a dietary request like champs and the staff were really proactive with taking orders and clearing tables. Great dining experience. The manager is really competent and runs a tight ship. Very impressed. Will definitely be back.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere. The wait staff were amazing... only let down was.... the steak was kinda chewy even though it was medium rare.... got a discount also which was soooo awesome. Would definitely dine here again
Just love coming for a bar meal. And have found it safe for gluten free meal as I have Ceolic disease. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The meau is great and meals are quite nice. And clean and tidy place to go for a meal for all the family. Top marks and thanks.
Great service in the restaurant tonight!!. Staff were welcoming and polite. Food was outstanding!!! Big portions for great price! By far the best blue cod in town! Could not recommend more highly. Can’t wait to dine In again!
One of our local pubs and hubby's favourite, great service from great friendly staff, food is not bad either. Good variety and price ranges
