The Sign of the Kiwi Cafe

We’ve hiked up from Victoria Park and its a good walk up to the cafe.. Amazing view of the plains and the sunset. Bought ice cream for the boys, had chips, good service.Food: 4/5

Brilliant views over Christchurch and the Port Hills. Loved the drive up from Christchurch 10mins and down into Lyttleton. Takeaway coffees available but must bring your own cup. Gluten free brownie and caramel slice was AMAZING <3 Coffee was strong and a good temperature. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Beautiful cafe with a beautiful view! They have good variety in their food cabinet but they also have a few breakfast menu options too! Good coffee and lovely service! Both indoor and outdoor seating and reasonable prices on food/drinks. It can be a bit hard to get a park but 100% worth it. There’s also a quick walking track alongside the cafe to see Governors Bay!

The Sign of the Kiwi Cafe is a real nice spot. The view's pretty sweet, with those hills in the backdrop. A great place to chill after taking the tracks. The service is friendly, and the decoration's got a bit of quirky fun style to it. So, if you're after a laid-back spot to grab a cuppa and take in the views, this cafe's worth a visit, no doubt.

Excellent breakfast, Eggs - scrambled, bacon, mushrooms, sourdough toast, chutney, chutney for breakfast to us is odd but delicious. Coffee was sublime, we had long blacks. We will be back!Food: 5/5

Always great service and food, the host and his team are amazing and make you feel welcome. Yes there is limited parking as people point out, but that's like criticizing Riverside for not providing parking, irrelevant. Overall a great cafe, a nice walk up the hill, great views and clean.Food: 5/5

Arrived right on time for hot fresh dates scone ! Love it ! The food are great and the view is stunning. Love the atmosphere. Did not regret spending the trip up here for a breakfast before heading off for a road trip.Food: 5/5

Beautiful cafe in nature. Would recommend coffee and scones, they are delicious. Toast with eggs is so-so.
