Great location, right across the road from Maccas, so super central. The rooms were spacious and i had my own bathroom in my room and my mother slept in a connected room with a kitchenette and her own ensuit. We also had separate doors to enter our rooms and then a connecting door. And our own tvs in our separate rooms. Definitely a great idea for friends or family who wanna share a space but also have their own privacy.
I struggle to say anything positive. It is overpriced for what offers. I will not be back nor would I reccomend it to anyone visiting Wellington.Rooms: 1/5
Who is disgusting and small no ventilation and the worst thing about it and had bed bugs I got eaten alive worst time of my lifeRooms: 1/5
The air conditioner was noisy. Despite making a prior reservation, I was given a temporary room When I first arrived and I had to check out at 10am and then check back in at 2pm on the first day! Not good! The front desk obviously did not pay attention to my emails or booking details. But the rooms were clean, the little kitchen functional, the beds, linen, and toilet clean. Close to banks, shops, and all necessary services. The staff and management were very helpful. Nice and affordable. I will be staying again.
I've been here for 3 days with my girlfriend. Our room was very tidy and clean. We had our own bathroom, with was also comfortable and spakling. Yes, we realized the air conditioner, but didn't disturbed us. Great location, just a few steps to supermarket, Cuba street and harbour. The room itself had no windows but a curtain, which was kinda funny
My work booked for me to stay here for one night at a cost of $165 for a queen studio a few weeks ago. They advertise themselves as 'serviced apartments' but really its a small, dingy room with a small kitchenette and a bathroom, where corners have been cut at every opportunity. Unlike any serviced apartments I have stayed in around NZ. This looks to be a converted office building, so my room had no windows and felt very claustrophobic, it did not have appropriate ventilation, and it was extremely hot and stuffy. I dread to think how hot it would be in summer. It also was incredibly loud- there doesn't appear to be any sound proofing at all! I could hear word-for-word people's conversations, presumably in the rooms next door-as well as the noise from people coming and going ALL night. Additionally, the furniture was cheap and falling apart. So between the heat, stuffiness and noise from people it was almost impossible to sleep. Not acceptable at all, particularly when its a work trip. I hated every second that I spent there, and do not recommend anyone waste their money. I have stayed at Backpackers that are of a much higher quality for a fraction of the price. My workplace is removing this accommodation from their list. Absolutely disgusted at the quality and a completely overpriced.
The room and halls are all clean and tidy although does have a strange layout. Our room had one tiny window facing another building which was a bit of a disappointment. The outdoor balcony was good but could do with some maintenance. Location was ideal for a tourist who plans on walking around. All the tourist attractions were ~5min walk away. If you're on a tight budget and want somewhere nice to stay in the inner city these rooms are ideal.
Good clean rooms with good facilities for what you pay. Excellent location for nightlife, restaurants and access to harbour and public transport. Most rooms do not have windows and can be very hot for 6 months of the year with noisy ineffective air conditioning so if you like a cool room probably not the best place for a good sleep I've stayed here 10 or so nights over 4 months.
The room was small, but clean. They advertise cooking facilities, which were ok. Then they say you will be charged more for cleaning if you cook smelly food! Also they advise you that the smoke detector is very sensitive & if the fire services arrive you will be fined $ 1000. So we cooked with the AC & all the fans on. The duvet was stained, a clean sheet over the duvet doesn't make it clean. Probably need a duvet cover. Staff were great, helpful & friendly.
If you're staying for short periods in Wellington on a budget this place has some things going for it: 1. It's priced very well. Usually the cheapest option 2. It's very central. Great of you're located in city centre 3. The rooms don't back on to a busy street like many other hotels in this price bracket. It's quiet and thus possible to get a good sleep. 4. Although basic the rooms are clean and tidy. Is it a nice hotel: no. Is it an excellent budget option if you're just passing through: yes.
