Likewise, Location of the hotel is great and rooms are neat clean and housekeeping team is spot on. I always recommend this property to family and friends. Checkout was nice and smooth however checking want pleasant as I expected. During my previous stay cheack in was heart touching but this time I miss those staff members. Over all staff is nice and friendly. Definitely we will be back.
Our stay was first class. The staff - front of house and Housekeeping were very, very friendly and helpful. The room was great and exceeded our expectations.nIf you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Hutt, this experience is not to be missed.
We had a wonderful stay at The Sebel Hotel in Wellington. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and courteous, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Traveling with toddlers can be challenging, but the team was so obliging to all our requests, making our stay stress-free.nnThe hotel itself is only a year old, and it shows – the rooms are tastefully and elegantly furnished, offering the perfect blend of comfort and style. A special mention to the housekeeping team, who are doing an exceptional job keeping everything spotless.nnAnother bonus is that the hotel is conveniently located on the bus route, making it easy to access the city.nnWe highly recommend The Sebel Hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We’ll definitely be back!
I’ve stayed here several times before and really like this place. The rooms are always clean and tidy, the service is excellent, and honestly it might just be the best-smelling hotel in the country.nnDinner at Gracie Restaurant was a highlight, with tasty food and attentive service. However, I have to agree with other recent reviews commenting on the breakfast was a real letdown.nnThe buffet featured a lot of non-traditional items like mini mince pies, bacon and egg savories, and custard tarts. While I appreciate variety, many of these options didn’t really suit a typical breakfast setting.nnTo make matters worse, most of the hot food was served cold. The pancakes were dry and hard, and both the hash bites and bacon and egg pies were completely cold.nnOn the positive side, the cereal and muesli selection was a good variety.nnOverall, I think the breakfast menu could benefit from a full rethink, returning to more traditional options.nnAs it stands, I wouldn’t return for breakfast, and it seems I’m not alone, as other recent reviews share similar feedback.
Two male tradesmen walked into our room WITHOUT knocking and or announcing themselves. Even after they saw the room was occupied they did not state who they were and what they were doing. My 14yr old son was walking into the bathroom to take a shower at the time. I had to ask them who they were and their response was, “Didn’t management tell you we were coming to service the fire alarms?”. I said no and told them that it doesn’t excuse them walking in without knocking and then to carry on without identifying themselves and advising us what they were doing.nThe hotel staff said they would advise the manager who incidentally never contacted me. They then offered $20 free carpark for one of the three nights we were staying. This was another let-down.nYou have a right to privacy and safety in a paid hotel room. This was not provided in this case and it was a serious breach.nIt was disappointing to not be contacted by a manager and further let down by the $20 car park. The low level of compensation shows how serious the management took this serious breach of privacy and safety.
