Kitten care and rehoming
The Scratching Post is operated by STRATFORD COMPANION ANIMAL ASSISTANCE TRUST, a non-profit charity registered with the Charities Commission.
We are a small Trust independent of any other organization. Our operation
is 100% run by volunteers who all share the same belief - pets are part of the family and deserve to be treated with respect.
We strongly advocate the need for pets to be desexed to stop the cycle of abandoned & unwanted animals in our Community.
We do not receive any government funding and rely solely on the generosity and energy of local supporters in order to carry out the work we do.
What we do in the Stratford District:
Pet Information Centre
Providing a local contact point where information can be shared about lost, found, wanted animals, and those needing to find a new home.
Kitten Care
Raising young orphaned, abandoned & unwanted kittens in foster care until they are old enough to be rehomed.
Education & Awareness
Educating on care & responsible pet ownership.
Pet Desexing
Providing financial assistance to owners struggling with this expense (criteria may apply).
Rehoming
Finding loving homes for kittens raised from foster care.
