Steak was fantastic, service was good, a good local pub. Amazing sticky toffee pudding too.nnOysters smelled a little fishy and obviously aren't shucked fresh but they actually tasted perfectly fine.
Went there for a solo lunch with my book and sat by the fire. Ordered the peach tea, Caesar salad with chicken and the petite cheese platter. Had a lovely time, and the young waitress was very kind and made sure to ask if everyone was alright with my meal and if i needed anything more. Always a treat to drive all the way out here from the city.
Bit of a mixed bag today.nThe waitress asked us for our preference of water as we were seated however never returned with our water at all.nWe had to get the attention of the staff in order to place orders.nThey were very cheerful though.nOur Entrée and Mains were served in a good timely manner and were lovely.nnEntrée was Vegatbale Dumplings which were good. Would order them again.nHusband had the Beef Cheek and Smokey Bacon pie, and I had the Lamb Ragu.nThe pie was nice, bacon wasn't Smokey though. Ragu was cooked well. Both meals had beautifully presentation.
We had a table for 2 in the covered deck area overlooking the river. The service was friendly and prompt. The beef cheeks and the ribs were very tasty. We shared the petite dessert plate, which had 4 little delicious morsels. It was just enough sweetness at the end of our meal. We arrived early after kayaking from Herald Island, and we were able to bring our booking forward, which was great. We highly recommend the Sunday lunch at The Landing restaurant at The Riverhead tavern.
We’ve been here a couple of times now and enjoyed both times immensely. Would certainly recommend if your looking for great food, cozy ambience and super great service. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Definitely deserves a 5 star.
