Cracking out of the way bespoke hidden gem well worth tracking down. Unique atmosphere & friendly staff. We only had drinks, but the menu looked great with lots interesting twists. The food that.was coming out to other tables looked well presented & reasonably priced. So much so we've booked a table for next week. Check out the specials Monday & Tuesday, also good selection on the children's menu & an over 60's menu. Both with loads of choice & looked very reasonable priced.
Nice out if the way spot for breakfast. Food well cooked and tasty. Had a full English. Tasty ingredients but when you offer two sausages on the menu I don't expect to get two tiny chipolatas...
This place had a Lovely atmosphere, food was Gorgeous, plenty of it too. Prices a bit steep I thought! Most of the staff were friendly. Would go again Food: 5/5
We had 3 starters, garlic mushrooms, pork belly, and spring rolls. We also had 3 mains consisting of Racks of Ribs, Fish and Chips, and Chicken Burger. All came with the usual fries, salad and sauces. All meals were well presented and tasted delicious. It was my 1st visit and will definitely be going again. We also had 2 wines a coke and a pot of tea and total was about £85 . They also have special offer days on so I taken a picture of the menu. The meal was eaten too quickly to grab a photy as it was so nice .... recommended. Also lovely view of the river mersey and venue for hire
Staff are lovely and the food is DELICIOUS!!!! Being vegan I am always a bit unsure about new places to eat, but this place does fantastic vegan food. I will definitely be going again. The meals are big and the price is good too. Many thanks to all who work there.Food: 5/5
Another great dining experience at the Refreshment Rooms. This time I attended as part of a large group and was impressed by the standard and efficiency of service. The food, as always, was delicious, with a huge selection, appealing to all tastes and dietary requirements. They also run a series of weekly "specials" that offer terrific value. My delicious bowl of scouse for example was just £10. Finally, a word for their staff too. Always friendly and helpful. 100% recommended.
The service was fantastic. My only gripe was the guy who brought our food to the table... he was very polite, but he had a bushy beard that wasn't covered, which always worries me in case hair drops into my food. My partner loved the food and said it was one of the nicest things he'd ever eaten, but I was less enthusiastic. The chips had a strange taste and looked like they'd been reheated. The beer batter covering my fish was overdone and tasted greasy, but the fish inside was moist and tasty. However, the mushy peas were great. But, the sauce that came with my meal was one of the worst things I've ever tasted... I don't know what it was, but it had a 'skin' on it... horrible. It is usually my favourite meal but this was below par. Where we were seated looked shabby and in need of a lick of paint. I would visit again and try something different.
Food and service were outstanding! Highly recommended I can only say try it, you will love it.Food: 5/5
