The Ranch Wanaka

We got married here 4yrs ago with just our immediate family In attendance and was beautiful outdoor space. We weren’t allowed to use the heated pool as owner said it was “too cold for swimming” which was not advertised on listing.. when it said heated pool we assumed all year round and kids were so let down. Hot water kept playing up upstairs. Place was nice and big for our family but also getting a bit run down.

Suits big groups very comfortably. Had an awesome stay. The pool was a bit too warm for my liking, but kids loved it. 4 stars *** Update:2 years later from 1st stay.... If you look over the back boundary from the pool, you will see the new commercial complexes going up instead of the gorgeous valley. The Ranch seemed really run down this time around & we will not rent there again. We found that there was not enough table settings for a large group nor enough kitchen utensils or dishwashing tabs. The property manager was around trying to sort out the WiFi most of our stay. We were out of WiFi for 4 out of 5 days & nothing was mentioned of reimbursing this inconvenience. We were told the renters before us had trashed the place w/ parties. Their cleaning seemed lackadaisical with glass shards in the garage & around the pool. Again no mention of a reimbursement for our inconvenience. The only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1, is the property manager was nice enough & the convenience of having a pool.

Stayed here in a group. Place has potential with some home improvements. Driveway onto the property is breathtaking
