If you're not local, then the bar manager would prefer you go elsewhere. She's a real treat. But I have to give a few stars as it has the only pool table in Martinborough.
They have the best wedges I have ever had. The atmosphere was so energetic it was like being at a family function although we weren't related. The staff were extremely friendly and quick to help. This is a must try place if you're ever in Martinborough
We had an early Christmas dinner here. Great food, redonable prices and friendly staff. Happy to recommend
Recently returned to the Pukemanu on my annual trip to NZ. Possibly a 1+ star improvement on last year due to the friendly and efficient service from Talia, whilst other staff sat in the background eating. Thank you Tahlia for the improvement on my last experience and recommendation of the cheese burger. Look forward to your friendly service later thus year and or 2023.
Rude unprofessional manager, spoke to me very poorly assuming i was drunk and causing trouble which was absolutely not the case. The young girl behind the bar however was lovely. Unfortunately I will not be returning under that kind of management.
Absolutely shocking at how the waitress treated us and telling us we have been disrespectful and been sworn at. And that after we were patient and understanding about the situation. Kids couldn't get the drinks they wanted or the meals because they had no stock. Sending my meal back 4 times and still not the way I wanted it. And then only to be harassed outside while leaving by the same waitress. I am totally disgusted and hope this waitress is fired tonight. Will never support this local pub again.
Local pub with good selection of beers, wines and other alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages. Good food served with bar meals and dining. Live music, sport TV and horse racing/betting station. Lively and friendly bar.
First visit here, and with a large group of people unannounced on a busy weekend, so I'm impressed with the ability of staff to cope with the influx of orders. Great food too...I had the salt & pepper squid rings and they were awesome
poor service. We wait 1 hour for our order. Friendly staff.
Simple decent pub meal at a reasonable price. Staff are lovely and friendly. Good place to meet the real locals or Marty
