We come here often, mostly for the great food in the Food Hall, but for other shops as well. It's always a good experience for us. Good coffee, too!
The Plaza is a great place to go shopping, Although after a while of going there all the time it gets very boring. Kmart has lots of things to buy and a great variety of sections. The food court has a variety of different cultures, and the shops include many different types including book stores, electronics, clothes, hair dressers, jewellery, chemists and many other stores. Highly recommended for those needing to quickly grab a last minute need.
Like any CBD Mall, there's a wide range of shops that occupy the outlets of the Plaza. Womens, Mens and Kids clothes and shoes, stationery shops, jewellery, banking, even a specialty candy shop. There's also a food court although there isn't a large variety of food choices compared to other malls. There's also a few sets of bathrooms at either entry and a supermarket. It's also one of the only malls I've been to that makes you pay for parking if you take longer than an hour which most people do, especially if they want to check out a few shops and eat, then shop a bit more. There's outside parking, on street parking and a parking building. It'd be nice for it to be like some other malls i.e. The Base in Hamilton, Bayfair of Tauriko in Tauranga, Central Mall in Rotorua where you can just park up and enjoy your shopping experience rather than having to pay to buy goods from stores.
Its got almost everything you might need when going shopping. Food court, supermarket, clothing stores, cafes, stationery shops, shoe stores, a candy store and some higher end places like Peter Alexander, UGG, lowwer.and it has a Kmart for cheaper options on basically everything. Pretty good shopping centre for such an average sized city
The Plaza is a wonderful place to ho especially if it's raining outside. It has banks supermarket s hair dressers everything you need all under one building with plenty if car parks 3 levels and also a food court if you are hungry
