I'm a mobile food vendor located in Christchurch NZ offering Spanish paella in a variety of styles. Seafood, Chicken and vegetarian types, all gluten free.

Story

A family member from Mallorca (Spain) first introduced me to paella about 20 years ago. I couldn't believe what I was tasting! My idea of seafood was raw oysters, fried fish and marinated mussels.
So to have such a tasty mixture of seafood, rice and vegetables in a single dish was something to behold. I learnt how to cook paella and have been improving my recipe every since.
We ensure our ingredients are all gluten free, as fresh as we can get and where possible sourced from local providers.

We sell healthy Benjer fruit drinks which are from Central Otago at $4 each.

All our paellas contain the essential ingredient - saffron. Saffron has been used by civilisations for thousands of years and is proven to not only flavour food like no other spice but also brings incredible health benefits. Our seafood paella dish contains prawns, mussels and squid (plus some vegetables).
Chicken dish contains chicken and chorizo (plus some vegetables).
Vegetarian dish contains Spanish onion, garlic, red and yellow capsicum, chick peas, green beans, artichoke or asparagus (when available). Mega healthy!

All our bowls, forks and napkins are biodegradable and sourced from ethical suppliers. Sustainability is important to us and we promote this.

We can be available for functions, weddings etc. A minimum spend amount applies for functions ($400) or $15 per head and we can cater for around 100 people at once.

Paella Fella catered our woodland wedding and were absolutely fantastic. Not only was the food delicious but the communication leading up to the event was brilliant. With many people now booking flights back to Spain every day, the half term holidays still seem some way off, so when my wife suggested she have a night ‘off the pans’ and that we have a Paella Fella supper I was very excited, especially as it was a school night. Premium delivery service or you can request the delivery and serve option, for up to 30 people or book a private exclusive events starting from as little as 50 people. All fresh produce sourced locally and the chicken is free range. Authentic paella rice and seasonings all imported direct from Spain, culminating in the best tasting Paella bar none. Well done Nick and your fabulous team. “Quality is never an accident. It’s always the result of some serious thinking, considerate sourcing and lots of passionate people adding TLC and much love. We booked Paella Fella for our wedding and were a little disappointed. The food on the day was excellent, both the paella, the tapas and the canapes. It was served an hour late, which was a bit annoying but even more so given the staff repeatedly saying it would be ready in 5-10 minutes, meaning we didn't adjust our plans as we would have done if they'd been honest. Additionally, this was a lot longer than stated in the contract for timing changes 30 mins. The biggest issue was the communication on the run-up to the event; Paella Fella didn't respond to emails at almost any point, so we had to call every time we needed answers or clarification, and the options and information we were provided tended to have mistakes which we needed to correct each time. Despite having a fixed agreement of price-per-head from well in advance, Paella Fella also tried to increase the prices by an unspecified amount with only a month to go, though did then reverse this when we complained. We'd probably use them again for a small event, but not for a wedding or anything of that nature.
I first discovered Paella Fellas when they delivered four amazing paellas to our campsite to feed a group of almost 60 people. The food was so fabulous, I booked them for my 40th birthday party two months later. The guys delivering the food were absolutely brilliant. I can not thank them enough for their professionalism. Paella Fellas ensured that all my guests were fed without a fuss. Not to mention how absolutely delicious the paella was! Will definitely be using them again for future big functions.
I have regularly relied on Paella Fella when hosting family events where I want to be spending precious time with my guests, not in the kitchen slaving over a hot oven! I have always been impressed with the service, the prompt delivery and of course the paella which has been authentic and delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Paella Fella to cater for any event, big or small.
We wanted something a bit less formal for our wedding catering and Paella Fella was perfect. The food was delicious and there was loads of it! Lots of the guests commented on how amazing the food was. Olivia and Claire were great at answering our questions in the lead up to the big day.
I Had Paella Fella for my Wedding. THIS WILL BE AN HONEST REVIEW GOOD AND THE BAD. The Good: Food was exceptional and I do mean that. We have had many compliments from multiple guests. My family are from the Carribean and my wife's are English, so we needed an option which both cultures would enjoy. Paella Fella absolutely knocked the ball out of the park on that one. Numerous comments from all sorts of people saying the food was exceptional. If you go for a taste test and the food is good, believe me it will be better on the day. we were impressed by the taste test but they put on a real performance on the day! not only that but they accounted for a little more than we paid for so there were lots and lots of well enjoyed leftovers and to top that off, they brought their own tupperware so guests could take paella home! Also! we had so many dietary requirements to cater for, Gluten free, Vegetarian, people who didn't eat rice i know right. Paella fella made us feel absolutely confident and reassured us they had options available for those people including the wimps who don't like rice. Everyone enjoyed their food! The Bad: Email communication could be quicker, I called a couple of times and waited for a reply via email, turns out they did take note of what we asked and did it but email confirmation is always preferable and they forgot black shirts so had smart green ones instead. Would I book them again? In a heart beat! good to see that there are decent businesses still out there who aren't solely trying to rip you off. 11/5
Paella Fella Catered for our wedding in Suffolk on the August bank holiday this year. We 110 guests and 3 giant Paellas, Pollo and chorizo, Seafood and Vegetable and they were all incredible. The bonus? They boxed up the leftovers which we had the rest of the weekend and tasted just as good cold! Paella fella also made us canapés for starters and they were delicious, we had so many compliments on the day and since about the food. Thank you Paella Fella!
