perfect spot for people passby or who stay in katikati. pretty chill atmosphere, although there’s mistake on the order but the food still good. average price, not too expensive + people are nice!
What a gem of a place, I am one of many that pass this wonderful spot and haven't stopped for years. Called in late Sunday afternoon and enjoyed a bite to eat and they stock the best local kombucha you will ever find. Food was great and really good variety as well. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Multiple options for non meat eaters. Parking: Parking is off the main roar and safe re-entre onto mail road.
Always a great place for breakfast and lunch. They have several woodstoves for warmth in the colder months which makes a nice cozy atmosphere. Lots of couches to lounge on and read a magazine or paper while having tea. Not as many vegan options as they used to have, bit still a few on the menu.Food: 5/5
This is a great spot to enjoy amazing food in a beautiful rural setting. It's incredibly charming inside and outside, all the layout, decor and details make this place very unique. The gardens are stunning, full of flowers and nice tables. Love all the collector's items inside. They do the best gluten and vegan scones with the most delicious raspberry jam. Coffee is great too. It would be a perfect spot to celebrate a birthday, wedding, or whatever you fancy.
Visited this place in June and the place had a catchy vibe all thanks to that one big tree in front with all yellow leaves. Food and coffee were good like most cafe's. Amazing sitting space and ample amount of parking space.Food: 4/5
Highly over priced and poor quality food, waffles were stale and the sauce overpowered the rest of the dish on the mushrooms! We would not stop again which is unfortunate as it has a great outside area and setting Following on from the owners reply it was a few weeks ago and we did let the staff know we were disappointed with our meals but nothing was offered as I said unfortunate as the setting is so nice and the food used to be also a few years ago.
Lovely setting inside and out. I also bought a large wagyu beef pie to take away and it was excellent. But not happy with the $9 sausage rolls that we bought. Dreadful pastry and very ordinary filling. There was very little choice left when we got there for lunch shortly after 1pm.
Amazing range of gluten free and what’s more, it’s not even taste like gluten free! Just amazing gf muffin, luxury golden latte and nice waitress. Definitely recommend! Just a bit your coffee, but it’s about preference.
This café has a cozy atmosphere, but I was disappointed by the bland and overpriced breakfast options. The food lacked flavor, and considering the higher prices, I expected a much better culinary experience.Food: 1/5
Disappointed. There are several points: 1. One member of our group ordered the salmon salad as their first meal of the day. 20 minutes after they ate, they had to rush to the bathroom! They felt nauseus for the rest of the day, had stomach pain, and constantly visited the bathroom. Additionally, the salad was bland, had no seasoning, and felt quickly thrown together. 2. Our group ordered at 11am, and they had already run out of bacon and tomatoes! It wasnt busy, and those were a main component of the dish. The price of that dish didn't decrease as a result. 3. Online menu has 2 vegan lunch meals, while the actual menu on-site has none! This is misleading since this cafe was chosen specifically for their vegan options. 4. The cafe closes at 2:30, but the 'sorry we're closed' sign went up before 1:30. Which is a shame, since our group would've ordered more coffee, and several potential customers arrived just after 1:30, only to be turned away. Lost revenue.
