On your way to New Plymouth why not stop in Urenui and enjoy a lovely home made scone with tea or coffee in a quirky atmosphere. This little cafe is fun to visit with all sorts of memorabilia especially anything to do with Rupert The Bear. Well worth the stop...
An amazing place to enjoy traditional english breakfast. There are so many different varieties of teas to chose from. The owner is super friendly and has lots of stories to tell. The scone was absolutely delicious. I don't think I've had a better scone in my life. Please visit this place.

Had a great Devonshire tea with clotted cream. Great scones. Lovely host and truly wonderful setting with numerous knickknacks and original atmosphere. Was a lucky find. Only open Friday to Monday.
Such a homely decor and the hospitality is amazing! And the only place in NZ to make clotted cream.
This place is fantastic! Probably the best full english I've had in NZ - included black pudding and beans! The service was faultless. I bought scones with clotted cream and jam and brought them back to the whanau in Auckland. Just eaten them and they were excellent! Go here and eat!
This is a place to be experienced if you like things British - a bit bonkers but fun.

Nice quirky place to stop for a cuppa... owner lovely, makes all the tea combinations!! Is definitely a teahouse, no coffee machine here
