This cosy and warm café is a hidden gem in Stewart Island that I wish I could gatekeep! My friend and I came to this café to seek a hot chocolate in the cold weather, and needless to say, it was an absolutely divine dine-in experience.nnThe homely atmosphere of the café is topped off with a rustic, antique aesthetic that has an appreciation for the arts. There is a marine touch to the place that is so gorgeously well-maintained, particularly through the use of shells to hold serviettes and the woven nets on the ceiling.nnOn top of the cute layout, the accommodating nature of the staff and their excellent services made our time here welcoming. Kotomi in particular was so kind and friendly - I really hope to drop by and see her again before we take our leave!nnBonus: Their hot chocolates were served in a double-wall glass, which, for a glassware enthusiast who is thermosensitive, is absolutely perfect.nn5/5 - genuinely one of the best cafés I've been to in my life!
Staff were absolutely wonderful and the food and drink were great. We had a coffee and juice, as well as a date scone and a tostie. We all really enjoyed it. The cafe is super cozy and relaxing with comfortable seating. Short walk from the coast as well so perfect to pick up a brew before a short walk. Could not recommend more.
Mocha was pretty good but a little less sweet than I would have liked. Staff was nice. Very small and quaint. Some seating in the main building and extra seats outside in private cabins.
Very nice cafe with tasty food and great service. The owners are accommodating and friendly. I suggest dining in one of the huts in the back but inside is also nice. They close at 3 so have breakfast or lunch there before you go tramping.
Didn’t like the coffee from the machine. Coffee beans seemed nice but it’s just the way they make I guess. I had the Spanish burrito. Food was okay.
