About

The Occasional Brewer is a Brewery and Bar where you can brew your own craft beer, sample on site, or grab beer to takeaway. Bring your mates and craft your own 40 litre batch of beer with help from our expert brewers from just $159.

Story

The Occasional Brewer provides the brew space with state of the art equipment, top quality ingredients, instructions and professional support so you can brew your own craft beer as good (sometimes better) than you buy at the shop or pub.
The brew takes around 3 and a 1/2 hours. You leave it with us for around 2 weeks while the yeast works it's magic.
Come back and bottle your brew, this takes around an hour. Then take your beer home and wait a few weeks while it carbonates.
Chill and enjoy.

The staff were kind and helpful, the experience was fun and unique, and the beers we drank while making our beer were tasty. This experience was an awesome gift to receive from my partners mum. I highly recommend you book your own experience or gift an experience to someone for their birthday or Christmas. Update: the beers we brewed were amazing and so tasty.
Today was bottling 3 x 40 litre brews. The sterilising process and the bottling plant continue see practical development, saving both time and effort. Peter and his Team continue to offer a great experience and brewing outcome.
A great place to go and brew your own quality beer. Full instructions are given and it is well worth the effort. This makes a great team event and also caters for the individuals. The staff are helpful and enthusiastic. They run a bar on site with a good number of the beers on tap which assists you when choosing the beer you want to brew. Give it a go - you wont be disappointed.
Great fun evening out, learn something new and end up with a batch of your own brewed beer. Very well set up with really friendly and knowledgeable staff to help and guide you.
Booked this experience, but unfortunately our plans changed and we had to cancel. But got a full refund, which was a relief. Thank you to Peter for refunding, hopefully I will get to make cider/beer in 2023.
Incredible innovative idea. Empowering people to brew beer. Nice no-BS staff who make things easy and low stress. This place is the perfect gift for a mate into beer, or spice things up and take a date along. Takes about 3 hours to brew; then after a couple of weeks, take 90 minutes or so to bottle everything up. Highly enjoyable experience.
Absolutely fantastic Brew your own beer experience. Whole team very friendly and knowledgeable. Henry our brewmaster absolutely excellent. Tasty beers. Easy to follow instruction. Great greek food truck outside. Brilliant night. Will be back for sure.
Awesome and innovative idea, great setup, knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended way of getting into brewing great craft beer from day one, and just a fun activity idea even if you're not into beer in a big way.
Fantastic staff, fantastic setup. They supply you with all the equipment, grains, hops etc that you need. Staff are always there if you need help. Been coming here for quite a few times now.
Loved the experience! I bought it as a birthday gift for my partner and we enjoyed every moment. They are so well set up for newcomers and experienced brewers alike. Very simple instructions to follow and a guide who walks you through it all or answers questions when you need. Great selection and plentiful bar and snack options. Just be sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty-- brewing isn't for fancy dress. ;-
