We went with our two grandsons 7 and 5. Brian let them try on an array of hats and sit on the old fire engine. Although a small museum, it is packed with great items. It is quite international, too, with many examples of kit and machinery from around the world as well as from New Zealand. Well worth a visit.
Delightful retired fireman, full of knowledge to guide visitors around. Very informative for all ages.
Fantastic opportunity to explore New Zealand fire history.
Little museum with a great collection of everything connected to firefighting from around the world. You can also have a look at all kinds of old fire trucks. Very informative tour with Brian who will answer all your questions. And all that for just a small donation. Highly recommend.
