Was up visiting a friend for the first time in Cobalt. The food was amazing and great beers on tap. Band was setting up to play but didn't get to stay to hear. Great place and when I am up again will definitely be stopping in again.
Not a local, popped in here as a tourist while touring some of the local sites. Really cool joint with lots of history behind it. Ended up chatting for some time with the new owners. They’re so courteous and really passionate about the place and it’s history. Recommended me some great local craft beer. Will definitely make it back when I’ll be near here again. Good luck to them in their venture!
I'm in a band that played on Saturday night. There was a disagreement about something that turned out to be a simple miscommunication on our end. Vince and Sarah went well above and beyond to make it right even though they didn't have to at all. Plus they were courteous and thoughtful not just to us, but we're totally professional dealing with a difficult customer. Not to mention really great food and great atmosphere. What a pleasure to be here. This place is a diamond in the rough, Cobalt would be lucky to have this place around for a long time, and I hope they are. We can't wait to come back and help put on the greatest night this town has seen in a long time.

I'm new in town. My boyfriend and I wanted some soulfood and couldn't find a place to grab some good eats on a Friday evening. We had heard good things about the food here so we gave it a go...we ordered shepherds pie and corn bread. From the moment I ordered the food, walked in to the establishment to pick it up, I felt at home. You can tell Sarah puts so much attention into her food and Vince does a wonderful job at taking care of the place. We look forward to coming back for live music, good eats and some drinks.
Where can you go for lunch and have the owner/chef cook your party up sonething special that is not on the menu... The Miner's Tavern is that kind of place!! The food and drinks are top notch or high grade if you are in the know and the owners are the best hosts. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment for casual drinks or to celebrate that special occasion with family and friends.
The owners have struck gold in this venue! Every...single...person who works here is incredibly friendly, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to make your experience top shelf. The food is on point, the drinks are refreshing and prompt. I can't say enough good things about this establishment 10/10 would recommend and I'll absolutely be going back with friends!
I have only had take out so far, but that was enough to impress me. My girlfriend ordered some shepherd's pie and cornbread to go. It was so delicious and you could tell it was made with soul. Looking forward to checking this place out and dining there!

We had a family dinner here for my niece’s birthday/going away in the old Garden Bar. We had to sit in the dark due to a power cut, the till didn’t work so we couldn’t order any drinks unless you had cash. We were quoted $35 per head (roast meal + pudding) when it was time to pay, we were told it was $35.00 + GST ($40.25) per head (for a roast?). Beware this was only a verbal quote not a written one. I understood the retail sector should always quote including GST and only trade and services quote + GST. Anyway there was 19 of us but we had booked for 21 and unfortunately 2 were sick, but we had to pay for them also. A total of $841.25 (for an average roast) biggest rip off ever! This putting a damper to the end of an otherwise lovely evening catching up with family. We were really disappointed. Never again.
