i had an amazing time painting my bowl and a little frog today. Although the session is timed for two hours we were not rushed out as the next session wasn't full so we were able to finish our painting calmly. I appreciated the tile with all the post kiln glaze colours on it as it was very helpful. there was quite a variety of things to paint although a lot were predesigned that you would simply colour in whereas i wanted something with a little more creative freedom. I'm very excited to get them back in 3 weeks time!
Generally very good however there was next to no items to pick from to paint.Less than half on the shelves so for 8 people it was slim pickings. A lot of the paints were also empty. It's a shame because it was for my 30th birthday celebrations which I had booked since February.
Lovely people and a massive space to paint and create. You can take things away to paint at home or paint in the studio. The classes there are fantastic too!
I would never paint here, you won’t receive your products! I did a hen party here in November and it was disorganised from start to finish. We sat down to paint but had to keep getting up to ask for more essential equipment such as paint brushes and paints!! Once completed, we went to pay and were left wondering if we would ever receive our products as when asking for delivery and giving the address, it didn’t look like there was a clear system in link address to products. Two months on and we are still chasing to receive our pottery, some of it for the wedding!. There seems very little organisation and no contact with us to explain why we still haven’t got our pottery. The one good thing was the pottery throwing, a great experience but sadly no pots to show for it!
I wonder if anyone has had the same experience as me. I took 4 children to the studio on 26th & 27th of November. Some of them painted pottery as Christmas presents for their parents. We were told that the pottery would be ready in 3 weeks after glazing. On 17th of December I called them and were told the pottery were not ready yet. I explained some of them were Christmas presents from the children for their parents. They advised me to call back on 22nd of December which is their last day of work and they will try to get the pottery ready. However I called them several times today and nobody answered the phone. Obviously they were not open. I can’t imagine how disappointed the children would be without having the Christmas gifts for their patents. I don’t even know how to delivery the messages…
Very well organised and helpful staff. It was a great fun experience and an artistic challenge. Would definitely go again.
Spent 46 pound for 4 of us to not get called back when our things we painted were fired up and so never got them back. Do not visit they do not care about customers
Extremely disappointed. The painting was fun however I would suggest bringing your own brushes as the ones available are dreadful. We had to ask for water and kitchen roll and paint pallets to be provided. We had to chase our pottery as after 4 weeks we still hadn't received a phone call. We were informed it was ready but when we went to pick it up we had to wait 45 minutes to collect as they couldn't find our pieces. One of my pieces was damaged in the kiln so I had to wait for authorisation from the manager, who wasn't in, for a refund. The baby tile our relatives made was also broken and badly stuck together with glue. It was extremely upsetting as we purchased this experience as a Christmas present for them. Although it can be remade, babies grow, and so it cannot be remade quite the same. It was a good job I opened the other pottery that had already been wrapped as we found we had been given someone else's pottery in addition to our own.
Lovely premises with a great atmosphere. The staff were so helpful and polite even on what looked like a very busy day for them. Great chilled activity we will definitely be back!
brilliant loved every moment then have to go back and paint my mug
