The Lily Pad Cafe

We came upon this cafe by sheer luck and what a happy accident that was - excellent food, fantastic service from friendly staff, and a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for wholesome, quality food. We will definitely be back.Recommended dishesChicken Taco

Beautiful Cafe. Indoor outdoor flow. Helpful staff. This place was full and we were thinking that our food would be ages but not at all soon as we sat down someone was there taking our order.

We had a very poor lunch experience at Lily pad cafe. We were a group of 12 and told there would be a 20 minutes wait for food and we waited 65 minutes for the first meal and the rest came out over a 10 minute period. We had 6 kids at our table and nothing was offered to keep them going until the meals came - we had to ask for this and received chips that were too hot to eat and undercooked. Our meals were inedible - the fish and chips was $26 and consisted of some undercooked chips and a single small piece of the most revolting fish I’ve tasted - we didn’t eat it. The avo smash was some mashed avo on toast. We expressed our disappointment and were given a 50% discount on the inedible fish and chips only. The smoothies however were lovely. We have been regulars at lily pad for years and unfortunately will not return. A total disappointment which is a shame because it is a beautiful location and outlook and we have loved it in the past.

I would greatly give more stars if they were available. This was one of the best meals I have had for a long time in a cafe. The waitress that looked after us was so charming and professional, I was delighted. The surrounding environment was peaceful and beautiful, such a beautiful setting. Can't wait to go back with some friends. Went back today for lunch and it is still so very good.

An enjoyable experience overall. Staff were kind, attentive and friendly. Atmosphere and environment lovely! However, our only gripe was that our food was way over cooked. The fish was dry and yes there is such a thing as toooooo crispy. Who knew. Will be coming back.

I drove from Auckland to meet family here for lunch on Mothers day. We booked and our table was outside which was pretty. They were very busy but we were served quickly and well looked after. The meals were good although very small for the price. I had the Hawker roll which was delicious, the Avocado smash was tiny, especially for a man but I realise avocados are expensive atm. The tables had complimentary choc truffles, which was a lovely touch for the Mums.

Had a lovely lunch here with the little people in my life. Food fab, grandies loved the waffles . Service was quick and professional. Highly recommend and play area an extra bonusFood: 5/5

An interesting place with good vibes, the staff were super friendly and the food was decent. The art work around is quite nice, they all have a price and can be brought.

The enviroment is really cool with many creactive garden arts. Iced mocha is the top recommendation for drink in summer. Overall the amount is quite big. We also ordered lamb tarco and little pad breakfast. Taste is good. :D
