Our son has been at The Learning Space since May 2015 and we couldn't be happier with the care he receives from the amazing staff there. They are always warm and welcoming, interested and enthusiastic, and really respect each child's needs and individuality. We love the bright, clean and natural environment of the centre, and all of the resources and activities that are on offer. We're so glad our son has had this fantastic start to daycare life!
I can't speak highly enough of The Learning Space in Eden Terrace as a place to entrust the care of your most precious little family members. The only negative I can think of is that one day you may have to move if your child outgrows the space after the age of 3 - 3.5 y/o... but then anywhere you go after will feel like a step down. I sorely miss spending time with their awesome crew during dropoffs/pickups and getting to know the other little kids when my son was there. If TLS had a larger space to transition older toddlers into, and also did primary and secondary school I reckon we would've been there forever haha! If you are deliberating whether to choose TLS, I can confidently say you won't regret it... but you'll regret leaving them when it's sadly time to go! Hands down the best place for childcare of kids under-3.
I’m writing to express my disappointment about an interaction I had with one of your employees from the Takapuna Branch this morning. I felt disrespected by this experience, to seek information for a significant decision, not only my child’s care but the budget for my family. I haven’t even enrolled my child in this daycare and I already had a really bad experience. The person I spoke to had a dismissive attitude when I asked about fees. The response she gave me was not helpful but rather impolite and inconsiderate towards the situation. The lady on the phone said “UM you actually have to GO to the daycares and not base it off their prices”. Although she did tell me the price, she sounded reluctant to help me over the phone and kept repeating what she said to me. I had already done a lot of visits to other daycares and this process in itself can be tedious so I wanted to be efficient with the time I had as I was going to go back to work soon. I wanted to see if this daycare fit our family’s budget even before visiting. I hope that you ensure that prospective parents are treated with respect and professionally which you state on your website and that Te Whāriki puts an emphasis on. Very disappointed.
We're so happy to have chosen The Learning Space to look after our 6 month old and haven't looked back once. Care takers have a genuine passion for helping children grow, become independent and learn great values. We always have 100% trust in every one there. The concept and philosophy at TLS are very special and unique, definitely worth checking out when considering daycare centres.
The learning space TLS is phenomenal and I couldn’t speak highly enough of the care provided here. The process of acclimating my daughter to the space was a love-filled, child-centered approach that made Tigerlily feel welcomed while simultaneously calming our fears about entrusting her care to others. The staff/aunties are attentive, thoughtful, loving and genuine. The collaborative approach provided by the aunties moves at Tigerlily’s pace to ensure her individuality is fostered and she feels safe. It has also allowed her uniqueness, independence, personality/temperament to flourish. My highest hope as a parent is to consistently remain in tune with my child’s strengths and evolving needs. I believe this will bring her the greatest happiness and allow her to live to her fullest potential. TLS and it's philosophy embodies my hopes for Tiger and the process to achieve this. It has been the perfect fit for us, and if every child had the best start in life like the one provided at TLS, then it is a bright future ahead. If it’s not yet apparent, I just love TLS and the connections/whanau we have developed here. We are sincerely grateful for such a wonderful place.
The Learning Space is a really special place. I couldn't think of anywhere better for our little girl to grow, explore and discover. The staff are respectful of children as individuals, observant and reflective, patient and caring. Every day there are new, interesting provocations for our children to discover.
