This historic kauri workshop has many amazing handcrafted wooden pieces, ornaments and allsorts! Bought a gift box for my grand daughter here. It's a pleasure to support small businesses!
I would rather avoid this place. I have seen better collections of wooden art and that too at a reasonable cost. This is so expensive and the old man who is at the counter is so grumpy.nHe whistles and talks to you. Phew
Interesting shop with lots of NZ wood things made locally, mostly.
I give it a 5 out of 5 on craftsman ship and pieces. I have given this a one as the woman behind the counter was the most unfriendly person we had met in our month in New Zealand. I almost put back the cutting board. I don't often write negative reviews, but she was so unpleasant I feel that those going in should be prepared!
