I have started the process of establishing a club based Mountain Bike Park in the pine block at the south-eastern corner of Rangataua Forest. The pine block is officially part of Karioi Forest, so it is managed by Ernslaw One.
As it is a working, commercial forest, a permit is required to enter. At the moment, an induction must be attended in order to get a permit. It is planned that club membership will include a permit only for the MTB Park, therefore will have less risks, and access restrictions can be eased. Club membership will also cover the required $10,000,000 of Public Liability Insurance.
