My husband and I had the pleasure of having our wedding ceremony and photos in Historic Village last November.nnWe held our ceremony in the Village Amphitheatre. It was the perfect outdoor setting as it had enough seating for our guests 70 people with a gorgeous natural backdrop. Hiring this as our venue also included use of the Village Chapel which was a backup option if the weather had turned. It also gave us a space to hide out and get ready while our guests arrived. The hiring cost was exceptional for what we got on the day.nnWe were able to drive our bridal car through the back of the village to impress our guests- a great benefit to hiring this space for a wedding, as vehicle access into the village is unavailable to the public. As our wedding was on a Saturday afternoon there were plenty of parking spaces available on the street front.nnFollowing our ceremony, we had our photos taken at various locations around the Village. We were lucky enough to be allowed some photos taken in Record Roundabout, The Incubator, and The Village Cinema. Huge shoutout to the business owners for allowing this and to the Village manager who opened the cinema especially for our photos. Overall, the Village provides a stunning visual backdrop for a photoshoot.nnWe had a fantastic experience with the venue hire. Now when we visit the Village in the future, we will always remember our wedding day.
Love love love this place.nThat was my first time to visit it. The reason was attending an African Community celebration day. I happen to also model for Masafynas African Modeling show under the incredible African Designer Rosemary.nnI was fascinated with the colorful decorations, shops and all what this Historic Village could offer.nnI enjoyed walking around the African day celebration and also exploring the rest of the village with its cinema, shops and cafes.nnI left that day on a high feeling happy
It's a fun, quirky place. There is something to see for everyone, various forms of art, vintage clothing, mineral stones, music shop, cafes, fairy garden..the people who run it are very friendly & approachable. Well worth a visit, free entry.
A must-visit spot that feels like stepping back in time! Every corner of this historical village is incredibly picturesque and perfect for photography. I spent hours just walking around and capturing the beautiful scenery. Whether you're a history buff or just looking for the perfect shot for your feed, this place won't disappoint. Highly recommended!
I recently visited here. This historical village completely free to walk around and you can grab a coffee or lunch at the cafe. Apart from this, there's also a Cinema, gem shop, record store, tattoo shop, bakery etc. By visiting here, you will feel like you have traveled back in time and time goes slowly. You wouldn't believe that this place is located within a well-developed city. If you are also fond of taking pictures, then this place definitely worth it for you as well you can spend a great time with your family. If you have been to Tauranga City and have some free time i highly recommend a visit to this historic village. There's also a lot of street parking.
