Great shortcut worth the $18!
Easy return trip. Doesn’t take too long and is okay in mild wet/windy weather too. Purchase a return ticket for just $14 return and give yourself a day of adventure on either side of the ferry route.

Best ferry to catch between Paihia & Russell. Look for the happy smiling face flag then you know you're on the right ferry
