Kathleen and David are fantastic hosts, really friendly and good humoured and offering great tips for your time in Brecon and in the wider area, and seem keen to make sure their guests enjoy their stay not just at the Grange but their time in the Beacons in general. We had a fantastic three nights here! The B&B rooms were spacious with thoughtful touches like real milk for your tea in the room, USB sockets for phones, easy access to temperature controls, proper juices at breakfast etc. Breakfast each morning was served with a smile and perfectly cooked and presented, and arrived quickly with the pre ordering system so you could get on your way quickly each day. Everything here was perfect, and the "little touches" set the Grange above many other B&Bs. Thank you both very much for being excellent hosts! Walkability: Easy access to all bars and restaurants of Brecon and most importantly has parking for guests!
We had an amazing time in the Brecon Beacons, made all the better having chosen to stay at the Grange. Every morning kicked off in the best way with pre-ordered breakfast, which was always faultless. For the rest of the day we were in a perfect location to walk to various pubs and shops in Brecon in minutes, and we were provided with a fantastic list of them all, split out by which days they're open. Further afield our walks were improved with David's tips on parking and routes. I'd now never stay anywhere else when coming back to the area!
The hosts David and Kathleen were excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and suggested things for us to do to keep us all busy. The accommodation is very nice clean tidy and finished to a high spec. A 2 minute walk into Brecon town, great location opposite a supermarket and there is parking at the rear of the B&B. The breakfast was great and we were always offered more. Me and the Mrs were veggies David got us soya milk for our teas and coffees, just little bits like that going the extra mile was really appreciated. I've been going to Brecon for the past 9 years and I can say this is the best B&B we have stayed in.
Me and my boyfriend had a lovely time staying here. Kathleen and David are lovely, attentive hosts. No detail has been spared - little things such as providing sanitary bags, tissues around the house, chocolates/biscuits each day and many other great details set this place way far ahead from others. The breakfast was great with cold and hot options. David and Kathleen kindly provided for our dietary requirements. The house and rooms are extremely clean! And parking was provided which was really helpful. The location is perfect, just a short couple minutes walk away from the Brecon high street. Definately would reccomend this place to others!
We had a lovely 3 day stay over in the Garden Room, it was clean, spacious and the breakfast was ample to see us through the day. The host and hostess were extremely polite and helpful when it came to places to visit whilst staying there. Absolutely loved our stay in Wales and the Grange is worthy of 5 stars plus, plus there's a quiet pub 2 doors away that you can have a nice evening drink too.
We visited the Grange Guest House over the Easter bank holiday weekend. Kathleen & David are amazing hosts which make you feel welcome & right at home. The location is fantastic as most Brecon restaurants, pubs & supermarkets are in walking distance. Private parking is available as well as a small garden to enjoy the weather. The breakfast is expansive with various options ranging from fresh fruit, cereal, customisable English breakfast with sausages & bacon from the local butcher. The rooms are spacious and comfortable in particular room 4 has also a big bathroom as well. David can also provide additional local recommendations or you can even borrow hiking maps if required - definitely recommend.
My wife and I have just spent 3 wonderful days staying here in their self contained Bothy situated in the Guest house garden. Our hosts, Kathleen and David, provided a top class service throughout our stay from providing a superb 3 course breakfast to recommending places to both eat and visit. We are returning again next year for an even longer stay. I highly recommend this Guest house for you to stay whilst exploring Brecon Town and surrounding area.
Lovely B&B in Brecon. Room spacious with really large bathroom and very clean. There was plenty of choice for breakfast which was most enjoyable and our hosts couldn't have been more helpful. Will definitely stay there again!Rooms: 5/5
Had a lovely stay here in the heart of Brecon. The B&B is well situated for all the nearby walks and points of interest. Covid guidelines were all in place but didn’t affect the enjoyment of the stay. The hosts are full of knowledge and useful information about the area and were very accomadating. Our room was quiet and well equipped, no issues at all. Private off road rear car park was great with no trees over hanging etc. Breakfast freshly prepared every morning was great and plentiful each time. The town was literally round the corner with plenty of bars / restaurants / shops for stocking up on any bits you need. Would 100% recommend.
Really lovely B&B run by such a friendly couple! Room was really nice, and the location is perfect to see the Brecon beacons. David and Kathleen were so friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious, just a shame we only stayed 2 nights, wished I booked more! Will definitely be back. Thanks bothRooms: 5/5
