Absolutely loved our experience. Bar lady was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Great outdoor seating. Music playing was great and relaxing environment. The food was great. And very well priced. I would highly recommend a place to go to if you in Akaroa

We had an awesome lunch here. The food was very impressive and reasonably priced. The outdoor area is outstanding. Plenty of space for children to play and run around. We also experienced great, friendly service.
I had a delightful experience at The Grand Hotel! The dumplings and onion rings were particularly delicious—crispy, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. The service was also wonderful; the staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality!
I visited the Grand Hotel a week before Christmas with my husband and two grandchildren. We did not have a good experience. In my opinion the food was inedible. The fish was old, very dry. Th fat it was cooked in was old, as the batter was dark. When I cut into the battered fish, the fish was barely there, as it was so limp dried and flat. We left our uneaten meals. I advised the staff why I was leaving. They did apologise, but did not offer a refund.
