The Good Place - Ohiwa

We joined 5 other families for the long Labour weekend in October 2022. We absolutely loved the camp and will be back for sure! We rented one of the Tourist Cabins which was perfect for me and the 3 kids age 12, 11 and 6. It would have been great with my husband there too. The cabin had a separate bedroom with double bed, fold out sofa and single bed in main room with a kitchen and separate bathroom. The place was Immaculate! There is a view of the ocean from the balcony and it was shady when needed and sunny when needed too! The staff are lovely, there are loads for things for the kids to do, our friends were in tents and big motorhomes and all love it there too. It reminds me of the original Surf and Sand holiday camp in Ohope 20 years, really peaceful and easy. Great walks for the parents around and the glowworms were a highlight as was the bonfire on the beach and the fishing the dads caught sooo many snapper!. Great place!

We stayed for 2 nights but on our way to the Campground we had a accident and our Car was not driveable anymore, so the Owners were very helpful - the took my Partner to Opotiki to buy some groceries and the kids and me could stay 1 more free night . That was so so helpful Wonderful Location, it's a dream there. Super relaxing, a heated pool, nature sounds, the beach around, you can even walk through the mudflats and collect Pippies when its low tide, Glowworm Track, lovely walking Treks, and and and ... and for kids a huge jumpingpillow covered for hot summer days, a lovely playground and a Baby Pool for the little ones. A perfect place for a relaxing family holiday

I guess our disappointment comes from the fact that we have been coming for several years and we loved the service that used to be provided. It is still a beautiful location but it has lost the magic and friendliness that kepts us coming year after years due to the change of ownership. The dirtyness of the toilet was just unacceptable out of service, smelly, blocked up, out of toilet paper and soap there was no longer any kids activity on offer, water slides or food trucks.

Great camp site with plenty to do. We are a family of 4 and we stay in a cabin and it was great. Really recommend this park!

Stayed here a few times and love the place. Great staff, views and beautiful to holiday here especially in Summer! Clean toilets and showers always.

We come here once or twice a year. We started in the 1990's bringing our kids here. Everything about this camp is 5 star. Todd & Nola and staff are accomodating & friendly. The facilities are spotlessly clean and the sites are great. The beach is amazing. We will continue to come here as long as we can. Thanks team.

Great 5 nights here. We just love this campground and the kids club was brilliant. Small, heaps to do and we hired kayaks and paddle boards this time which the kids loved. Low key and lovely.
