The Gateau House Albany

It’s quite surprising that they charge separately for the knife $1, plate $0.50 each, and even the candle $5. The cake itself was just average. Many other places offer much better service without charging for basic things like knives, plates, or candles. It’s really disappointing.

This place is spotless. You can eat off the floor it's so clean. Loads of deserts to choose from.nnDone to perfection and look amazing.The restaurant has loads of tables and really nice setup.nnStaff are attentive and friendly.nPrices are high but you get for what you pay for.nnLarge cakes for parties or just passing and want a small treat.nnSome prices in photos.nLoads of Parking.nWheelchair friendly.nOnly small & regular size coffee.nUpstairs & Downstairs tables.nSpotless.nFunky & Modern inside.nLoads of cakes, dessert's to choose from.nn++ 5 STAR rating ++

Update: 15/09/24 okay ok. I realise a Cafe experience depends on who is working. Northshore large is much smaller than Central or south.

The older Asian lady was impatient when we asked about when the cakes were made, on the cake there’s no labels indicating the cakes expiry date nor any ingredients/food allergy information.nJust a barcode with a yellow sticker.nNo carrying bag just a cake in your face.nDisappointed as we used to love the cakes and always get them for celebrations. :
