Captain and his crew was great try to get us on some fish. We only caught 4 but 3 of them was nice.
Coby was our first mate. Our experience was phenomenal. We were catching Spanish Mackerel on a troll, and we were getting hits. Coby offered, just for fun, to take our chances on sharks for the last hour. He switched the lines and we caught three sharks in one hour. We took our catch right next door, and sent our trophies straight to the taxidermy. Unreal talent! 5 stars and a great trip!
My boys 9 and 12 had lots of questions about ocean fishing. They had never been before. Captain Nick and shawn were happy to answer them all and made the trip a blast for all of us. We will be back and we also highly recomened them!!
We did a four hour trolling charter today and has an awesome time! Captain Carl did a great job of finding fish for us and we left with an absolute haul. First Mate Parker was great at keeping the lines out and helping us to keep pulling in fish. He also did a great job of filling them at the end! We would highly recommend fish which for anyone looking for a fun day of fishing on the water! Looking forward to the next time!
Charter set up for family reunion. Terrible Captain service - poor communication, inattentive boat control in rough water. The captain kept a small grouper for himself after a relatively poor catch of grunts that the crew tried to label as "grey snapper". We thought the deck hand was nice as a positive. I contacted the operation owner to discuss our experience as well - no follow up, so add a second notch for poor customer service.
I will not go again. I thought that the crew was friendly but when we checked the fish after we got home. We resized that they took most of the best fish we got. We paid the guy that cleaned the fish $.50 per pound. It would have been $150 for 300 lbs of fish we caught. But we actually gave him $240 so we could give him a tip. The next day when we we arrived home we noticed that he kept all of our tuna fish and over 30 small fish we caught. I really hate the fact that they took advantage of us because we were planning on going back in May and another time in June. I am so upset that they took advantage of us. We had two other groups of people we were going to take but I guess we have to find another business that will not rob us. Chip, I hope you choke on a bone of the fish you stole.
Great Captain and helper with a nice clean roomy boat. This was my third off-shore/near shore fishing trip- which may the reason why I feel dissatisfied. After reviewing and comparing other charters, they all said they were catching a mixture of fish. I figured this would be the case too. We spent approx 4.5 hours trolling in circles about a mile or two near shore. We were lucky to catch several Spanish to be exact 84, limit was 90. It got really old after the first hour! The reels were really hard/stiff for being heavy duty and catching small fish. I almost didn't want to continue reeling in the fish after the second hour because my arms were super exhausted. But like I said, great Captain and helper! If this will be your first time going on a charter boat, this may be great for you!
We went out on the SS Fish Witch II last week with Captain Carl. He was wonderful, and the first mate Chip was super accommodating and helpful as well. My boyfriend is an experienced fisher, and I am not at all. Chip helped me bait my hook, told me exactly what to do, and unhooked my fish for me then cleaned our fish after the trip! We were put right on fish in the ocean to bottom fish. Great experience, very clean and nice boat. Highly recommend if you are looking for a charter in the area!
So, we picked the worst day possible to go out. Weather was supposed to be rainy and the waves were going to be terrible. Got a call from the captain before hand and told me we could reschedule or he could take us to a different location that would be safer for the kids. Decided to go on out to the new location. Boat was clean, captain and mate were both super friendly and took us on the boat like they’d known us all their lives. Got out to sea and hit two spots, caught one fish at each spot, but the third spot was great! Bites on every cast. He could have stayed at the first spot where nothing was biting but he wanted to make sure we were catching fish. We had a blast, the kids had a great time, even my wife enjoyed it. We will definitely be back this summer to go after bigger fish and we’ll be booking the same crew! Thanks again for everything. You guys made our trip.
We, again, booked a charter with Carl, Missy and Kobie. We had a great time on Mr. Snow's boat. Our mate, Kobe was fantastic answering questions from novice deep sea fisherman. We love these guys! We'll see them again next year.
