My friend got me voucher for my birthday for this salon and I had different treatments done. The waxing was great, so was the massage. But I have been asked to come 15 minutes earlier to then having to wait half an hour which was very annoying. Everyone got tea but somehow they forgot ? to offer it to me. And my nails were horrible, the young woman seemed like she had no idea what she was doing, everything was uneven and really bulky, when I pointed out that the thumb has something really uneven instead of taking it off she painted another layer on top which made it even bulkier. It also started coming off two days later, for this price unavailable. I also felt like because I had a voucher I wasn't a "real" customer, which is ridiculous as my friend paid $200. So overall not super great. I have to say the woman who did the massage was super lovely and knowledgeable but the rest of my experience was awful.
Booked a couples massage well in advance, got told on the day that they couldn't accommodate it. Wasn't able to book anywhere else with such little time, so the 'relaxing' day was ruined. Edit: Had a call from the owner trying to guilt trip me in to removing the review. Be wary when dealing with this business.
I had a lovely experience visiting The Finishing Touch salon today. I had a Fiji deluxe pedicure with Rochelle, from start to finish Rochelle was gentle and kind giving me a very relaxing foot rub, pedicure and exfoliation. The icing on the cake was the wonderful parafin foot treatment, highly recommend for baby soft skin. I really appreciated the use of medical grade equipment and the nice gesture of complimentary tea. A cut above some of the other salons in Wellington, will definitely return!
The store is clean, spacious, light and well presented. The air also smells fresh and you always feel comfortable. Staff are welcoming, professional and ask what you are wanting to achieve to ensure they deliver the best service. The full back laser hair removal has been highly successful with 80% reduction on my first visit. I would recommend laser hair removal above waxing any day - so much easier and with no pain. From my experience, if you are considering a cheaper alternative… don’t, as it will cost you in the long run. The Finishing Touch also has a great range of services for men and women and was one of my top picks when shopping around. Try nails with Claire, my girlfriend’s nails are always amazing - so creative.Service: Laser hair removal
Always such a high quality and luxury experience! Always feel so amazing and pampered during my nail appointments Receptionist is so lovely and they have amazing stock of Pure Fiji! Would highly recommend Mimi she does such amazing gel polish!
2 years ago I had the most horrendous, bitten nails. Thankfully, I found Kathy and her team at The Finishing Touch. She was able to restore my nails and I can’t believe how different they are today. All the staff are attentive, warm and welcoming. Kathy is always professional and precise. She takes a lot of pride in her work and the results are fabulous. They also provide tea/coffee and a delightful chocolate fish! The salon is impeccably clean and their hygiene is excellent. using only your own nail files I would highly recommend.
Very calm environment and the staff are very kind and know what they are doing. Kathy is an excellent nail technician and Jan always has a warm welcoming smile every time I go there.
Such amazing service - I am a nail biter and Kathy is working to transform my nails. They look so amazing every time I leave and it has definitely helped to get the biting under control. I also love that Kathy explains what she is doing and why and answers my random questions on nails and how everything works :Service: Manicure
I go here monthly for a male back wax. Always welcomed back with warm friendly smiles and the service is always exceptional.
