Wow, amazing atmosphere, friendly and responsive staff, very clean food, and well priced drinks. Differently if I live local I would be extremely privileged to call it my local. Great atmosphere so a lot of the credit goes to the locals. Beautiful little London pub Food: 5/5
Surrey Quays  £5.10 Madri A warm and friendly locals boozer. . The Farriers Arms is located on Lower Road in SE8 near Surrey Quays where Deptford meets Rotherhithe. The nearest station is Surrey Quays which is about a three minute walk. . This narrow fronted pub was built in 1869 by Charringtons and stands head and shoulders above the terrace of shops that is situated within. See last photo for how the pub looked in 1899. . This one bar pub is long and thin with the servery situated on the left hand side. At the front is a small raised area, at the rear is an open area which has a pool table. The walls are clad in light green tongue and groove panels and painted cream above. There is a proper pub carpet which is a bit worn than runs throughout. The seating is low level and there are few stools around the bar. At the back of the pub is a small beer garden. . The beer line up is straightforward keg options which are popular with the locals. I had a a pint of Madri which had recently been added to the line up. My pint was good and pleasingly cost just over a fiver. This is a wet-led pub that doesn’t sell food. . I arrived around 1pm on a Saturday afternoon and got a warm welcome from the lovely lady who was on duty behind the bar. There were half dozen or so punters in dotted around the pub and loads of banter going on with regulars sat around the bar. The atmosphere here was upbeat, I got talking to a few locals about Madri as they hadn’t tried it yet, everyone here was so friendly. This pub shows live sport on a couple of screens if you fancy catching a game. Throughout the month there are Karaoke and disco’s plus free pool and jukebox nights. . The @farriersarmspub is a warm and welcoming friendly local pub that I loved visiting. It’s not the most aesthetically pleasing place you’ll ever visit but who cares, this is a pub where people come first. The service was personable, the beer is good value, whats not to like. Get this pub on your must visit list. . ℹ Info correct on visiting 22.4.23
Proper Job, decent no frills boozer offering great keg beers. Nothing on cask I'm afraid. Friendly bunch of locals and loads of banter, a good place for a beer
This is a great little local boozer. Maybe not to everyone’s taste but that’s up to you. The landlord, Charlie, is awesome. Such a warm, friendly fella, I felt like a mate/family member after 5 minutes of being there! Proper old school pub hospitality and good prices.Service: 5/5
The best pint of Guinness I’ve had in a while, great staff and very traditional interior local pub
Real cool place, one pool table for £1 a go. Manger Charlie is good, said hi and challenged us to some games to hang with. Didn't have food, but beer was good. Great vibes.Service: 5/5
Proper local old school boozer. One of the few places you still find a pint for under a fiver.
Love this place, cheap, cheerful and good staffService: 4/5
Fabulous! Great drink, great vibes and it really captures the SE Vibe! Be here if you want to explore South East London.
