Excellent venue. A quirky interior combined with a unique atmosphere. Plenty of good quality beer on tap. Excellent live performances which creates an electric atmosphere most weekend nights - remember to book a table online. Good quality street food including loaded hot dogs, wood fired pizza and stacked burgers. Fast table service through the app. Very friendly staff,
We needed somewhere to eat and we were kindly enticed by a gentleman at the grand entrance to The Empire, to experience some tasty street food. We say outside and he brought us a high chair. There were 6 adults and 2 children and we ordered from the app, which was quite easy, we had menus to scan too. The food came out piping hot and you could tell it had just been made, fresh and tasty. My son ordered the pepper pig burger and it looked amazing. I ordered just 2 Haloumi tacos and animal fries...it was such a refreshing change from the usual seaside food options. The building is amazing and full of quirky posters, artifacts and signs. We enjoyed it so much so, we visited the next day, as my son and daughter-in-law cane to visit. They were allowed to bring their well behaved pooch Arlo into the venue too. I can only imagine how great it is to visit in the evening. Thanks for a great food experience
We ate in here on our last day and I wish we tried it earlier! The food tastes fantastic, the place is big and is decorated unusually and comes across as a bit old school/ grunge but it really is a fantastic, unique place to eat or have a pint.Loads of random decorations that seem to work togetherstrangely, it's a great place to chill in the day but looks the kind of place to really rock at night. Even ordering is simple, download the app and order what food and drinks you want to your table and it all comes in a speedy time.Typical street food that tastes fantastic. Will defo come here again when we are next in Yarmouth.
I'm not sure what to make of this place. No idea what it's trying to be, it's all a bit of a mess in many ways. The decor is perplexing. But we went back one evening and with a great live performer doing amazing sets, people just chilling, dancing and having fun, it all kind-of worked, and we stayed for a couple of hours and genuinely enjoyed ourselves. Has a very 80s/90s student-vibe. Not sure I'd go back, bit it's the kind of place you randomly pop into one night and it could be rocking. Other times it might be totally dead.... take your chance and give it a go! It's certainly memorable either way.
We love The Empire! We live in Yarmouth and this is the best place for an incredible atmosphere like nowhere else - it’s so unique as soon as you step inside the building. I’m a veggie and this is our favourite place to eat as they cater for meat eaters and vegans too!
August 2022- Came here for dinner, ordered through the app and it came very quickly. Was the best food we had all week! The adults burgers were delivered sharpush and well seasoned and the chips were amazing. My daughter loved her kids meal. All good sized portions for the price. The decor is different, very nice though. I loved the lighting. It was quiet inside when we went around 4pm, with quite a few people outside for drinks. I imagine it coming to life in the evening. I really liked that dogs were welcome as we had our well behaved frenchie who fell asleep under the table. One of the staff offered him some water also. Friendly staff. Will definitely go again!
We are a family of 5. It was a great place to eat. Before 9, families are welcome and we really did feel welcome. Really interesting decor and great music. The food was amazing and having the selection of 3 different types of street food was handy because there was lots of choice. Will 100% again next time we are in Great Yarmouth!Food: 5/5
Great sea front restaurant, I love the amazing decorations and old signs, so much to look at! The food is diverse and high quality, especially the burgers at rude kitchen, my favourite was the ‘Bacon my way down town’. The ceiling caught me off guard when I first walked in to the building itself, I wasn’t expecting to see a theatre ceiling, it was amazing to look at. Service is very good and friendly and I like how there are 3 different choices of food to eat, it’s very easy to access the menus for the aforementioned food outlets. The bar at the end of the building was very nice too, the place overall is well worth the visit and is a gem on the sea front!
I have been to Yarmouth many times over the years and I have never visited this place before. I am very impressed. It is not only a beautiful building but the venue interior is great and provided plenty to look at. They have different food vendors and love entertainment in the evening. I have to say this is one of the best nights I have had in Yarmouth and it's all thanks to The Empire.
Had a great night. Great staff very well mannered and helpful. The place is great and has heaps of character. The big ceiling is something els. Lots to do in venue just needs to advertise a bit better when bands are on
