Purpose:

The West Coast Sports Awards Trust (the trust), is a registered charitable organisation. The purpose of the trust is to run the annual West Coast Sports Awards which recognise excellence in sports achievement by West Coast sportsmen, sportswomen, teams and administrators.

Awards Dinner

The Annual awards dinner is an opportunity for current and former sports people from throughout the West Coast to meet and recognise the achievements of their peers. It is also an opportunity for local businesses to interact and many choose to use the dinner to recognise their clients or staff. This creates a great marketing opportunity for potential sponsors.

Held at Shantytown in October of each year, the dinner has been fortunate to have attracted speakers and MC's of a very high quality. Of significant value to the trust has been the ability to attract people who are willing to waive their usual appearance fee. Without support of that type it would not be possible to run the event at a cost which would be sustainable.
