Story

Located on the corner of Hackthorne and Dyers Pass Roads, The Cup overlooks Christchurch with views of the mountains in the background.
We have a large range of cabinet and menu items prepared by our great chefs Ku, Bradley and Kay and we are now open for evening meals on Thursday-Saturday.

We are fully licensed with a large range of wine and beer along with a couple ciders.

The food was first class and the service the same. Prices are good and the scenery topped off a great time. I will definitely be going there again.
Amazing views over the city - if you’re lucky enough to nab a table by the window. The French Toast Sticks with banana, bacon and maple syrup were really good.
Superb views over the city. Such accommodating staff. Friendly efficient. Coffee great. Did not partake of food but cabinet food looked great, menu appeared to offer good choice. Look forward to returning for a meal.
Been here many times, sometimes for a coffee and slice, other times for brunch. This latest time we bought our 2 elderly neighbours for lunch. They both loved the food, drink and view! Quite amenable to slight alterations to the menu for my coeliac wife. Highly recommend
Went here for a late lunch, almost nothing left in the cabinet. Not a very big range of options. Extremely hot inside with no air conditioning and quite loud acoustics. Nice view. Will not go again.

Beautiful food, lovely staff, and one of the best vistas from a cafe in Christchurch. Make sure you book a table next to the window!
Nice place to drop in if you are walking up the hill it also has a nice view
