How did I not know about this local place?! The road signage is easily missed but given how many customers there were, it is well patronized. Food was well cooked and presented. There is a good range of cabinet foods. Well staffed which meant waits were not unreasonable. The grounds and outdoor seating was lovely. I'll be back!
Wow, well worth a stop Green tea, a latte, big breakfast and corn fritters.... Wonderful Pleasant inside and garden area Dog friendly outdoors Kids area Good off road parking, safe. Country styled cafe/restaurant I'll be stopping again Vegetarian options: Corn fritters Kid-friendliness: Outdoor play area Parking: Excellent off road and safe Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access Dietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten, dairy
Nice place with alot of room. Staff were busy and distracted which impacted on customer service. Food was average, coffee was not pleasant. First experience as locals and probably wont stop again. Kid-friendliness: Kids playground and lawn area Parking: Alot of parking space
Sat outside on the first day of Spring Lovely garden setting. I ordered the Smoked fish filo with salad and no regrets here delicious. Fresh, right sized portion. I really enjoyed it. As it's just down the cross from hone I'll be back again
If we had not been with a bunch of travellers we would not have stopped here again after our last mediocre visit earlier in the year. The food is expensive $7.90 for a brownie and the staff seemed unappreciative that our group had all stopped in at once for coffee. On a positive note - the toilet is nice and clean. Parking: Plenty of parking
Best cafe in the area. Kids playground, wheelchair friendly, great menu as well as cabinet food. Good selection of gluten free and vegetarian. Pear and ginger cake to die for!! Very friendly service and good parking too. I will be back as they have never disappointed Food: 5/5
Nice spot on the run between Auckland and the Hauraki plains. The cafe is easily accessible with decent parking and enough playground to let kids stretch their legs. For the food, it's good hearty fair, and I've never had an excessively long wait to order or for delivery. Bruce the cat is a stoic addition to the staff, and very tolerant until he isn't ;-D Overall, its the rest stop of choice for me on this stretch of road.
I think this cafe definitely has lots of the WOW factor. Lovely food great coffee pleasant surroundings. The only thing that lets this place down is one particular staff member. It’s actually off putting her being such a cranky person. Now when I drive past I think do I have the energy to deal with her today or just keep driving. Such a shame as would definitely be a 5 star cafe.
Food was great as usual. Enjoyed my prawn salad and dessert. And had a cuddle with Bruce ‍ Hopefully next time weather will be better so I can enjoy all outside area. What a great improvement. Dietary restrictions: Found sugar free options for my Mum and was very happy with it
A very popular Café. Well catered for with friendly staff. The coffee was hot so I indulged in another. I had a sausage roll which was very tasty. Definitely worth the stop.
