We enjoyed lovely service and a tasty dal palak curry at The Copper Pot. We craved a well spiced curry and we were lucky to find it on a busy Saturday night at Westport's only Indian restaurant. The serving of both the curry and rice was huge and the naan was excellent. Highly recommend The Copper Pot - well done to the team!Food: 5/5
Not only was this super tasty dinner hands down the best we had anywhere on the West Coast well-spiced food, great vegetarian options, good portions sizes, all reasonably priced but the service here goes above and beyond. When we accidentally left an important item in the restaurant but didn't realize our mistake until a day later + several hundred kilometers away Copper Pot staff leapt into action like the superheroes they are, found our item and took it to NZ Post to mail it to our destination. Westport was, as it may often be... cool and drisling, and more drisle... It was a Monday night which is not the best night to be hunting out places to eat.... but when you are on the road you have to manage. The copper pot was a good choice. In NZ Indian dining tends to be medium to good IMO, and the Copper Pot was better than that. If I am in Westport again I will revisit. Good sized portions, and great breads. We couldn't manage to eat it all....

Ordered butter chicken, I have never seen butter chicken or tasted anything like it.... it was brown in colour it tasted like sauce from a jar ..... my partner ordered goat curry the first mouth full was gristle and bone, second mouth he gagged.... he said it tasted like old billy goat ....restaurant was dark, very tired... toilet, the soap dispenser was broken , jt needed a good clean.
That was the most delicious korma I have eaten in my life!! So flavoursome the lamb was so tender n melted in ur mouth!!Food: 5/5
Genuinely the best vindaloo I've ever had. The perfect amount of spice, with deep flavour to it as well. The naan was light and perfectly done, going to come back here next time im in Westport!
We come here on the regular now. Paneer saag is my go to. Lots of flavour, heat and good amount of salt. Garlic naan is really yum too! Fast and friendly service.Food: 4/5
