THE COFFEE CLUB OPENS FIRST TWO-STOREY CAFE IN FLOURISHING NEW LYNN LOCATION
The Coffee Club, one of New Zealand’s fastest growing and most successful café networks, will be opening the doors to its first New Lynn location on 9 February. The café, which will also be The Coffee Club’s first two-storey building, will be based in LynnMall, New Zealand’s oldest shopping mall.
The Coffee Club is joining a number of other well-known brands, such as Pizza Hut, Upper Crust, LJS Seafood, Cleaver & Co., and Wagamama, which have been attracted to the recently renovated mall. LynnMall, which opened in 1963, has undergone a $36m expansion over the past two years, including the development of a new dining lane, called The Brickworks.
Husband and wife team, Stuart and Catherine Howard, are the new owners of The Coffee Club LynnMall.
“I’m looking forward to being in a positive fresh environment. We’re going to bring a splash of light to the mall,” says Stuart. “The shopping centre has really been revitalised over the last few years, and we’re thrilled to become a part of it.”
For The Coffee Club directors, Brad Jacobs and Andy Lucas, the launch represents a great opportunity for a brand that has had great success in Auckland.
“New Lynn has become a go-to destination. We’re pleased with our location, it’s our first café across two levels, so it’s given us a chance to be creative with the interior. We’ve included design touches like a large picture of the old Brickworks going up the stairs,” adds Brad.
Stuart says his team is ready for the opening, with lots of things to look forward to.
“We have a full team ready to go. Some of them have even been in training at other cafes within The Coffee Club group to ensure we hit the ground running with great service! I’m looking forward to a lot of things and just want to make sure we offer our customers the good food and excellent coffee that The Coffee Club has become known for.”
The Coffee Club LynnMall is located at Shop 94, LynnMall Shopping Centre, 3058 Great North Road, New Lynn, Auckland. It will be open from 7am to 6pm Sunday-Wednesday, and until 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays.

The Coffee Club opened its first store in New Zealand in 2005, and has grown rapidly, since then. The Coffee Club now has 63 cafes and restaurants in New Zealand. For more information on The Coffee Club, including a full list of stores, visit thecoffeeclub.co.nz.

Very disappointing. The food took way too long to be served! And it was cold! Chips soggy and cold. The tables and floor were not clean. The only redeeming thing was the friendly service from the young women on the counter. Will definitely not be returning. We have always had an excellent experience at other coffee clubs.
This is some of the worst service I have experienced. My friend and I ordered crumbed fish & chips. 45 minutes later we still hadn't received our meals. We were given a refund and left. I will not be going back, I do not recommend this cafe. The staff were not happy, customers were not greeted with a smile but rather got a surly attitude, as if they were put out by our order. We were not the only people complaining about the meals and service. In future the staff should try to be a little more welcoming to customers and inform them that they could be a 30 - 40 minute wait. All in all this is possibly the worst cafe experience I have ever had, 1 star is too good for this failure.
Usually pretty happy with coffee club frappes but this one was super disappointing. "Deluxe frappe - caramel latte". Doesn't have any caramel flavour or sauce. Waste of $10.60.
Before you read my details please read the other reviews. I am not the only one upset about this place. I entered the place and took a seat. When I asked the blonde lady for a coffee she was rude and told me to go and order on my own. I just said Ok. I ordered Chicken parmigiana and it was terrible. Cold plate, rotten tomatoes on top. No one brought water for us and i had to stand up and get things for my own. I won't go here anymore and i didn't order coffee. Wondering why the owner complains that is difficult times when the staff are not working up to standards and the food is rotten.
The fries was still frozen. We paid extra for toasted sourdough bread. It wasn't toasted at all. Who eats breakfast with soft bread? We also asked for the crispy bacon it came as floppy as unimaginable, when we asked the lady to have it crispy, it came back still floppy and was asked sarcastically if its crispy enough which was still not. The cook looks like straight iut from high school to be honest. Cheap labour. Poor girls being exploited. Never again we go back in ther. And we paid $80!!!!!!! Waste of money!
The customer service was great. The food and drinks were supurb. There are one off benefits available, even for gold card holders. The prices are reasonable. Will be going back again. PS. Had a vegan pizza and it was so delicous.
We ordered eggs benny 1 with bacon, 1 without bacon, ciabatta and hollandaise, small latte, med flatwhite wth oak milk, breakfast arrived toast was completely covered with baby spinach.. Very very basic food. the bacon was of not good quality. $61.00 very disapointing, should of stayed home made my own.. Dont waste your money..
Savoury scone just loaded with baking powder, totally over-powering. Asked for extra butter a few times, not provided. Asked for a glass of water, didn't get it, upon inquiry i was advised where i can get it myself- could've told me initially. Vegetarian options: Provides basic vegetarian options, can't specify Parking: Mall - plenty of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Flat surfaces
Haven't been here for a while and thought I'd try it again. Ordered calamari and chips. They took my order then the cook came out and said they'd run out of calamari but she could offer me fish and chips. I said OK but wished I hadn't. The chips were cooked in old fat and had that browny oil colour chips get. The fish tasted yuk and old. The small salad was the best thing. I can't really blame the cook - you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear which is what she started with. The coffee was good.
Hot choc never hot enough. Very bland tasting. No more coffee club buy 1 get one free drinks at end of October. But you paid for this for a year, that is false advertising. Food: 2/5
