Thought I would branch out, leave the lounge and head down to the Farmhouse Cafe in Hanleys Farm to attend my first pottery making night.nIt was a nice chilled friendly vibe, easy to go on your own as you are quite focused on the task at hand.nBut equally would be fun with a group of friends. There were a group of local girls beside me and they were having a good catch up time and a few lols.nThe people on the other side of me were a couple from France on a working holiday in Queenstown.nVery lovely approachable ladies that run The Clay Station always on hand to provide easy to follow instruction and check each stage.nIt was great having a full two hours focusing on what you were constructing & creating and not scrolling on the phone.nI'm looking forward to drinking my first coffee in my creation when it's returned fired and glazed by The Clay Station.nThanks Deb and Kylie.
I can’t recommend The Clay Station enough! Debbie was so amazing, great to talk to and had so much knowledge. She has everything you need to make what ever you desire. Thank you!!
I came back to glaze the pieces I had made quite a while ago and Debbie had So Many beautiful paint on glazes ! I was in heaven.. this was the best day I've had in a while. It feels so good to just explore and create. Debbie never tells you what to make, only how if you need instruction. I love this approach. It rly just feels like you and the clay. XxOo
Had a fantastic time making my special moon mug which is not too far off from being ready! Debbie was great in helping when I got stuck and I know our whole group loved the experience! Highly recommend giving this a go, its relaxing and makes use of those creative and hands-on skills that modern life neglects.
It was awesome!nMy girlfriend and I booked the pottery class because of the bad weather in Queenstown. We didn‘t really know what we should expect and therefore came without any expectations at all. Working together with Debbie was so much fun!! Not only the pottery also just chatting with her was a great experience. She creates a safe place with a lot of room for creativity. We ended up staying for almost 3,5 hours and both fell in love with pottery. Overall, this was the perfect activity for a rainy day or just any day in Queenstown. Thank you Debbie! :
