Nice selection of ciders and a beautiful view. Their opening times didn't match the ones posted so we thought we missed them one day and the day after we waited around for an hour before as we really wanted to visit them. Service could be better, we didn't feel particularly welcome when we arrived. They allow dogs outside which was very nice.
The tasting trays are great - I especially like you can choose your own mix of 4 ciders. The hop was my highlight! The food is good too. The view is pretty spectacular so definitely worth stopping in for lunch or for a tasting!
The Cider Factorie has a variety of ciders and an excellent view to enjoy them from. The flight price is reasonable. It is an excellent place to spend some time catching up with friends. The ciders themselves were good for people new to cider or looking for something easy to drink. There wasn't much in the way of novel/uncommon ingredients when we tried our flight. That could be different during other seasons. Navigating to the factorie was easy due to all of the helpful signs.
Cool small cider brewery out in the countryside with awesome views of the estuary and countryside, and mountains in the background. The tasting paddles are great for trying out the selection of 12+ ciders on tap. The food was delicious especially the pan fried prawns, Japanese friend chicken and truffle fries. Great way to spend the afternoon.
We went there for some lunch and cider tasting. The cider was good but not special. Coming to the food. It arrived more than an hour after order !!! There was no one coming in the meantime asking or telling is anything about the delay. When it came it was disappointing. Some food came 15 min before the other and the last plate came even later. The quality was below bar food and to expensive for the quality and size served on small breakfast plates . All in all a disappointing lunch experience. Second visit: totally different experience. The dry ciders we had where fabulous. The burgers just great. Happy we came again and had a nice stay with great food. Thanks to the team.
I ordered different beers, each cup is different, some are even very small, even less than 1/3 cup, I think there is a problem with the standard operating procedures of the store. I orderd 4 cups of beer testing paddle, but they are in different size the Ice Cider is so small on the left The price of each beer is different, when the customer places an order, then each of them should be the same amount in four glasses of the same size. As you can see this photo, I didn't see the "paddle sizes" labelled on the drinks list, just price. *********************** It is recommended that you indicate the capacity next to the price of each PADDLE For example : ICE CIDER 100ML $7, 50ML $4 ?
Nice afternoon out sampling a paddle of cider. The food was good. The staff were friendly and looked like they enjoyed working there.
This place is fantastic. The food was great. The staff were great. The view was lovely. We could not fault it. They had several big groups dining yet they still managed to get all our meals out on time. There cider was delicious too we will be back.
Nice relaxing lunch with a paddle selection of ciders. Staff very helpful and the scenery was excellent. Great place to come when visiting Tauranga.
Staff were friendly but seemed really busy and preoccupied. Ciders were banging great and the food was also nice. Parking available. Come on a nice day to soak up the views.
