After wanting to try pole for ages, I took the five week intro to pole course. It was a really safe and welcoming environment to learn in and I was hooked straight away. I’ve now been a member at the Chrome Academy for over a year. The instructors are all amazing and make you feel so comfortable, and the community as a whole is really welcoming and supportive. As an added bonus there is also an aerials studio, and a range of cross training classes as well. I would highly recommend the five week intro courses to get started
I booked my first class at TCA when I was looking for an activity to improve my core strength and flexibility. I didn’t quite know what to expect but went along to the intro course with a few nerves in play. After the first class I knew I’d made the right choice. The instructor was welcoming and encouraging and I felt at ease right away so have really gotten stuck into every class I can attend since then. In my time at TCA, I have experienced so much personal growth and discovered more than a few things about myself that have surprised me each time. The warm, supportive community at TCA, among instructors and students, have given me the confidence to perform on stage several times - including two competitions - in the space of about a year. I have learned to love my body, its strength and ability to do incredible things. I have built some great friendships and the benefits for my mental health have been innumerable. I have so much gratitude for the supportive and inclusive community at TCA.
The Chrome Academy is one of the most welcoming environments I’ve ever been part of. I’m not a regular and I tend to keep to myself, but every single time I come in, the teachers and students always make me feel welcome and chat to me. It’s the perfect place to go as there’s so many different levels of skill, fitness, and flexibility. If you ever want to try something new, I could never recommend a place more. This place is the best in the Wellington region! Free parking, beautiful clean studio with coloured lights for awesome filming. At the end of each class there’s time to film any of the tricks/choreo you learn. No other place has such a good vibe and with lovely instructors. Now that I moved city, I definitely miss joining Maddie’s flow classes!
The Chrome Academy is an amazing studio with the most supportive community you could ask for. Since starting there I have grown more comfortable in my own skin and have felt an endless stream of encouragement and support. I feel so grateful to be part of a community that is so ready to celebrate the wins and help you back up after you fall sometimes literally. The variety of classes means there are lots of things to try and with a group of incredible instructors every class is different. There have absolutely been moments of discomfort along the way as there is for everyone but the judgement free environment along with encouragement from the teachers and peers to push myself means I have achieved so much more than I thought I was capable of. I would and do recommend The Chrome Academy to anyone and everyone, you will learn and grow so much.
