Mission

The Christchurch Youth Movement was created to connect high school students within Christchurch. This group was formed to concentrate the combined forces of multiple Christchurch high school students in order to maximise resources to support the Christchurch district community. The founders of this movement noticed the lack of connectivity between multiple high schools and were motivated to make a difference. The Christchurch Youth Movement will bring together high school students in the form of fundraising events, volunteering and other means. The core group of this movement will create events, organise volunteer opportunities and activate fundraisers in the city. With two representatives from each participating high school, the core group can be effective in communicating ideas and making decisions. These representatives will share all events and progress with other students at each of their schools, encouraging more students to become involved with the movement, effectively creating a larger impact on our city. We hope that with this movement, we can connect many students to have a larger impact on the city environment and encourage all students to become active leaders within the city.
