Pros : very nice location, 2 clean well maintained pools, access to a small parcel of beach, playground Cons : mixed feelings about the chalet itself, feels old though supposedly recently renovated, kitchen supplies pots, pens, dishes, etc. not clean. Rooms horrible. Don't count on the broken and unguarded bunk beds. We had to stay 3 in the uncomfortable double bed because we could not use the bunk beds. Very noisy AC. Basically 3 sleepless nights
I find the pictures were misleading. From the photos, it looked as if we were going to get one of the chalets with a lake view; however, that was definitely not the case. I would try to figure out exactly were your cabin is before booking with these guys. Beach was super rocky as well. AC barely worked.Rooms: 2/5
Great place to rent for beautiful Lake Michigan views. Quaint Cottages manages the place and they are very responsive to our needs. We recently rented a chalet and I emailed Quaint Cottages with some issues. Charles came out the very next day to address our concerns. He was exceptional accommodating and personable. The sunsets over Lake Michigan are worth the trip. The Chalets are clean and comfortable. We are having a very enjoyable trip.
The whole property is very well taken care of and there was always something to do for my family especially with the kids. We enjoyed going to the beach, pool, playground and tennis court each day! We stayed at Chalet 76 and it is nicer than most we have stayed in, definitely worth it. We loved spending time in the 3 seasons type porch. The beach is still there with enough space to play in the sand and play in the water.
Multiple dead bugs in my bed which was disgusting. Stove and refrigerator didn’t work.Rooms: 1/5
My family comes here every year, and has been for a very long time! Everything is so beautiful and nice there, even though in recent years the sand is being covered up by water, the pools are extremely fun! The rooms are amazing, and I love the rest of the chalet!Rooms: 5/5

A very nice place to relax and enjoy the views. We stayed in a chalet that was on the top of a hill. This location gave us the opportunity to watch the sunset into the lake while on the front deck. Chalet on the lake has all kinds things for the whole family including a fishing pond, two pools, two sets of double tennis courts, sand volleyball court and a playground. This is a very homey place to spend a family getaway which is not too far out of the way. About an hour and half from Chicago which the route has many places to stop and eat or taste wine and beer.
The location is nice, we enjoyed the lake and playgrounds. If you're planning a visit, don't stay at Chalet #93, it is poorly kept-up. The couch, fridge, and oven were all broken. There was no hot water for half the week, based on the above issues, I assumed there was no hot water in any of the chalets. When I called the management and informed them of all of the issues, they said they would address them. The next day, a plumber came and fixed the hot water a pipe had burst under the Chalet. The other item weren't fixed or addressed. Our food spoiled and we were unable to cook for the week. The bunk beds are very narrow and they didn't provide guard rails. Our son fell out of bed on the first evening, and fortunately he was not harmed. Without guardrails, 2 of the beds were unavailable for us to use. When I called to discuss a refund, they never called back.
Our family of 7 spent the weekend at Chalet on the Lake and had a wonderful time! The beach has nice sand and was just a short walk from where we stayed. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and utensils. Staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Thanks! We will be back
